Question Regarding Mods:

Submitted by Alex01 on

First and foremost, apologies as I didn't know where to ask this. That said, I was curious to know how Oblivion/Morrowind mods will work, if at all?

There's a wonderful mod known as Ruined Tail's tale, for instance, in Oblivion. But if I load up Skyblivion, does that mean Ruined Tail will be upgraded graphically, alongside everything else, such as his story, etc? Or...

They will not. Many Skyrim mods will, provided they don't conflict.

Quite a few Skyblivion mods can be ported over because we're using the same form IDs.

When you say Skyblivion, you're talking about porting into Skywind, right? Because I meant regular Oblivion mods. Like, if I have a bunch loaded up in my Oblivion Data folder, will I see them play out when I start playing Skyblivion?

No he's talking about Skyblivion because he said Skyblivion :) Yes a lot of regular Oblivion mods should be compatible with Skyblivion.

So this means it will be the same for Morrowind mods as well? And if so, I too am curious as to how that works.

Unless we convert them manually. Maybe after Skyblivion is done you could get Ormin to make a converter for mods like that, then we'd just have to revamp the assets. Wishful thinking.
