All the models in this thread need to be redone for legal and esthetic purposes before we will do a release . If you feel like you can contribute by doing some or all of these models then please leave a comment at the bottom of this thread.
Let us know what 3d modeling program and also what year it is you use, as we need to find out if we need to convert the files for you or get you setup with appropriate importers.
We are also looking for people who can compare a similar tileset done by our partner project Siligrad Tower to match up models, so that its less work. We need long time lurkers who want to do grunt work basically. Time to help, if you want to play the game.

I will do this! I work with 3ds Max 2013
Can the Shacks Int. be taller or does it need to be the same size as the Orig. Model?
For the most part in Morrowind, I think all the interiors are the same size as the exterior for realism.
Great Prinzik!
Better make them the same size as original, there are object that hang from the roof, so will be tricky for level designers to fix potentially floating/clipping ob
Prinzik has not logged in for 2 months, claim is as open as a hooker in Amsterdam red light district.
I'd love to pick this one up, have a bit of experience with shack modeling/texturing. Is there any specific reference available for these ones?
You can do these anyway way you want, as long as the wall dimensions width way are the same. As you can imagine objects are hanging off the walls, so needs to be accurate. Let me know what 3d program you use, and also if you need the models in a file format that you can use as a reference.
Really looking forward to these, the shacks have such great character! I second keeping the dimensions the same and comments about the .de shackhooks and hanging bits. The rafters should be kept in relatively the same position and size for that reason. If the supports are changed all shack interiors will need some adjustment.
Yeah i understand, just wondering what other woods have been done for anything similar so i have a baseline to work with texture wise, otherwise i can go with something leaning towards the skyrim shack woods. I use maya, so yeah if i could get an obj or fbx for scale that would be great, thanks.
Use these textures for the wood http://tesrenewal.com/forums/texture-repository/wood-plank-r...
The rest can be finalized later, just as long as you UV them to the existing style
Here are the models in obj

Awesome, thanks. Just a heads up, the link to the textures is dead.
Moved back to unclaimed Sept 22nd 2014
I would like to take a stab at these, assuming they are still open. Program is Blender 2.72, with an older version for the sake of the nif importer.
Great twentyenginerunner

Here are the models in obj format, which should be fine for blender

Falk beard started these. PM him to see if u can share assets and methods
OK, I'll get in contact with him an see what he has, and then start a progress thread once I have everything (and actually make some progress).
Edit: There were not any new concepts for these, right? And if not, I would assume there is no problem with me creating my own concepts if necessary.
we did some more drawings for falk but really the shacks speak for themselves. The only change we could ask for is that the base of the shacks were more stone foundation, as wood isnt that plentiful on vvardenfeeeelll
OK, seems reasonable. On that note though, has anyone done the shack exteriors? If any changes were made there (greater use of stone or whatnot), the interiors should obviously match. I did a quick look through the 3D modeling boards but didn't see anything.
Hmmm, I seem to remember Ravanna talking about somebody doing the shack exteriors. Rav?
the shack exteriors are technically modded and hence a legal asset, but it couldnt hurt, nobody has done them afiak and refining our use of textures would be a great help.
So, are those models being used, and if so where can I get them? It would be a pain if I had to make a bunch of changes to what I'm doing if the work does not reflect the outside of the buildings well enough.
Maybe its best to make the exterior first, then make the interior, so if you can, make both
Alright, both it is then.
