Assarnatamat is a shrine to Mehrunes Dagon on the Foyada Mamaea southeast of Caldera.

The shrine is located northeast of Balmora, just inside the Ashlands region. It is home to a couple of tough Daedra worshippers, including Thovasi Alen, who wears the Shoes of Sanguine Stalking needed for a Morag Tong quest. The outside is guarded by several leveled daedra. The ebony on the altar is cursed.

• Assarnatamat is literally the Center of the Game World, at coordinates [0,0]. One curious side-effect of this shrine's central location is that occasionally, if you use a Command spell to lure a person or creature into a different location than they start in, and then leave them there unattended for too long, they will occasionally disappear and later be found wandering around this shrine.
• On certain unpatched versions of the game, if you drop an item while underwater, the item will also respawn at this location.
