Epocylipse the AfterFall New Game in Developement

Submitted by Mweiser on

Seems there are a lot of talented individuals contributing to game mods out there.
So I thought I run an idea by everyone here and see if anyone has an ideas or thoughts that may help me.

I am a game developer, well, was in the past back in the 90's published a few games, worked for some interesting companies as well. I recently decided to re-enter the area and work on an idea I started over 7 years ago. Epocylipse the AfterFall, a post apocalyptic adventure role play game.

The game is still in Alpha testing phase, its a board game, but the rules are written to translate well into a computer game at some point in the future.

Recently I decided to put together a team to begin the porting process.
In the past I found small teams work best and when offered a split of the sales profits, work to create something the entire team can be proud of.

Maybe the world has changed a lot since last I published, but I feel there has to be people out there who want to see there work published, not only for what they can make economically but for recognition and for the fun/love of making a game others can enjoy. Seems that is what I am seeing with the game mods on this site.

With so many good engines available now for so cheap now, it seems easier than ever to create the projects, and with marketing schemes such as Steam Greenlight, Kick Starter  and many others, to generate early revenue getting it done now falls more on a good team versus having large pockets or a published.

I am looking for feedback and ideas as well as team members who share like minded ideals.
Ideally would love to find someone to take the drivers seat and put together a team and work with me to make the project digital. 2 thoughts for making it happen are to port it into a 3D engine or to port it over as is, as a board game such as Talisman Online did to the old Talisman game.

Visit my games website and let me know if you have any thoughts or know someone that may be interested or even if you may just be interested in the current project as a gamer.

The board game will be published via traditional distribution in about 10 to 12 months upon completion. I would hope to have a digital version in production by that time.

Sorry for being so long winded, but thanks for taking the time to read this post.
