Skyrim memory patch for Skywind

Submitted by Thegreatbrainrobbery on

As you may know Skyrim has a memory patch that was released a couple of months ago. It enables the use of 100+ mods without CTDs or freezes.  Gopher created an informational video on the patch which is linked below. The question I want to ask is whether it will included in the release or as an optional file to download?.

Apologies if this has been asked before.

There is little to no point in including it. We can suggest it, but we will not redistribute it. People can use which ever performance mods they like, including ones like the SKSE alpha.

Sheson's Memory Patch should already be in everyone's Permanent Core Skyrim Setup whatever else they use.

If they won't use SkSE for some illogical reason, there's SSME (Skyrim Startup Memory Editor).

What's a Permanent Core Skyrim Setup ?

Basically mods and tweaks you should always have in your Game. the mods required to make Skyrim work as originally intended, the best example I know is on STEP. It is called STEP Core, but just STEP Core Part only, STEP Extended is much less strict. They've basically got the job nailed, as best anyone can, where mod choices are involved.

STEP Core's guiding principle is fix and improve quality but stick to the vanilla vision and be fully compatible with all other mods.

You'd have double check to make sure but most if not all of the mods in STEP Core should work just fine with Skywind.
