Yayli Tanbur player looking to lend a hand

Submitted by Arkthuris on

I've been lurking for awhile now and I have really loved some of the compositions thus far and would like to lend my hands to the team. While I compose regularly myself, I know there are already a lot of people doing that job so instead I would like simply to offer my skills as a Yayli Tanbur player (think of it as a Turkish cello) to any composers who might need it. Here's a sample of my playing if you need a clearer idea of the sound:

I don't play all that much in equal temperament but I've been working a bit more on playing in the Western style and have gotten okay at it. Send me a midi of any parts you might want me to record and I'll do my best but remember that this instrument plays primarily in D, A, E, and G (other keys would require me to move some frets around).

AWESOME! I was looking for a VST of that instrument for ages. Fits the Dunmer culture perfectly. Definetly want it in our soundtracks! I think it would be amazing to team you up with a guy named Voiceandmusic, who plays a turkish saz and many other instruments, I could add some things to the mix too (throat singing, shamanic drums, jaw harp, duduk). It would be best if you sent me your Skype coordinates via PM or in the chat ;)
