Load order Problem ?

Submitted by YusukeKunn on
Will chaning the file names in Data effect the Esm and Esp files ? Because changing the names are the only way i can think of the get the load order, In order. Oblivion mod manager is not working for me , Do you have to instill all the Esp files using the oblivion mod manager for it to work or not ? cause only like 2 mods are installed with it and the other 5 are unreconised and it reconises the base Obilivion.esm. Should i restart with a clean install and install everything with oblivion mod manager or is there another way to move the files somehow in the C:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion/Data I can manage the mods like this but its locked to read only and i cant move the files and when i uncheck read now it still dont let me move the files , and goes back to read now ? The crappy load causes big problems for me like half the stuff is morrowinds and the water and the gaurds have seethrough armor walking ghosts xD Please help admin It looks really good and i really want to play this game ^_^ Morrowind is the game with the best storyline ever and oblivions graphics own both = Extreme awesomeness game =D

You may be looking in the wrong place for help with OBMM. Try Nexus. I'm not wild about OBMM; the ONLY thing I use OBMM for is to unpack OMOD files so I can install them manually. I use Wrye Bash. Wrye Bash is a Fantastic program, but takes some doing to install; there are prerequisites, and OBMM will try to override Wrye Bash unless you specifically tell it not to, and tell Wrye Bash not to let it. Get BOSS from Nexus. That is the easiest to use, and will sort out problems for existing mods if you have them. Then Edit it's Master file to put Morrowind_ob.esm immediately after Oblivion.esm. The order they appear in the Master file is the order they will be set to, so you can control the load order by editing this file. However, read the documentation. Load order is set by File Date, not by name, so renaming files has no effect. The only effect renaming files might have is on programs like BOSS that look for mods by name. Invisible Armor is NOT because of load order; it is because you have not installed Vvardenfell Imports properly, completely, or at all. The Vvardenfell Imports ESP is not used by Morrowind_ob.esm; only the resources are used, so load order would make no diffeence whatsoever.
