Armor type

Submitted by Dakkos Vasis on

Armor from the marsupials of morrowind. Perhaps from armadillos and Netchs.  I wanted to use this design to give the armor a dusty archaic feeling.  If anyone likes the design, I'll edit it to make it look more realistic.

Netch Leather Armor, Boiled Netch Leather Armor, and Chitin Armor have all been designed and made already.

It's just a design. It doesn't have to be chitin or netch leather. It could be Dunmer steel armor for all I know. I was just spouting ideas.

why the heck are you think that MW got marsupials? And why armadillos become marsupials?
you need AT_LEAST perfect realistic concept for motivate somebody to use your ideas.
anyway we have more than just many material-based armors and stuff.

Yes, armadillos do not fit into Vvardenfell's atmosphere they would fit more in Hamerfell.

Alysander why are you so aggressive though? :P

I dont like IRL stuff (include obvious parts of IRL creatures) spoiling mah Morrowind.

What if I told you, that we already have more armor ideas than we can handle, and it's ideas that make more sense than an armour made of armadillos? Besides, this kind of pencil drawing I'm afraid is not enough for a person to model from. Hell, most of my concepts aren't detailed enough for them, and I have to explain a lot.

My thought when looking at this armor for the first time:

Just compare your concept to concepts from our DA site....

Yu Geiys shuld totally emplimint this armor concept into skywind please, for shure - its made of orangutan skin, and chocolate syrup. oh and i have an idea to connect skywind to skyrim, like you just travel back in time. and also when is skywind going be done- because im too impatient to help, but it also looks cool. also i hate skywind because you arent using original armor models, also wouldnt it be cool if we just used armor models from skyrim and just retexture them. Get to work on it now. Thanxs

Aren't some of you being a little harsh?  The point has already been made.  It isn't usable.  There is no need to keep coming down on the person.

I agree that these people are being a bit harsh, but this is just silly, even for my tastes.

Lets not cause a shitstorm here guys. Yes the Devs are coming off as extremely rude but its because they're bombarded by a lot of people with these kind of ideas where the person just assumes that the devs won't mind taking on the extra workload.

Just remember the priority right now is to get the main game finished. Implementing people's ideas doesn't come until later. Try to play nice guys, ok?

What extra work load. If they don't like the concept they don't have to use it. They're being huge dicks because they think they're better than the people who cant output there ideas as well as them. I love this project but honestly I don't know if I'm going to support it anymore after all of the shit I've seen on here.
