Resist Magick Effect on certain Objects

Submitted by Hobberon on

Maybe its a dumb question, but still i'm not sure about this one.

What is unclear to me, is the functionality of the "resist Magic(ka) effect" on some enchanted objects found in Morrowind.

The main difference  between those effects in Morrowind and Oblivion was, that in Oblivion, this effect protected the character from offensive spells like fire damage etc... in Morrowind it did not... (instead they just minimalized effects like, absorbption, draining etc)

My question is, if I would find an enchanted artifact with such an effect in Morrowind, playing Morroblivion, which of the two systems above would came to use ?

Because on the one hand Morroblivion is using the engine of Oblivion, but on the other most spell effects are like in Morrowind.

Sorry for bothering you, but as i play, i have to set up some things for my future plans xD.

You're playing Oblivion, not Morrowind and so all game mechanics, including Resist Magic effect work like in Oblivion.

Resist Magic behavior is, in fact, hardcoded and is not possible to change even if we wanted to.
