If you enter dagoth ur and manage to kill him for the first time as he enters into that final room, he is supposed to drop a ring. Perhaps it is because of the order I went and attacked him, but the ring did not drop.
Not sure how critical it is, but it is something that did occur in morrowind.
Can anyone else confirm this is actually a bug or if that was supposed to happen in the original game? There is nothing about it on UESP's section on this quest and I can only assume that you are talking about the Heart Ring, which should show up when you kill Dagoth Ur, whether or not you do it "the first time as he enters into that final room". Furthermore, there is nothing on the page about Dagoth Ur that indicates he has any rings in his inventory (warning these links contain spoilers).
Can anyone confirm that the Heart Ring (or some other ring) does or does not show up?
