I had two very odd encounters in Anvil.
1. I sleeped at Counts Arms(Or what the Inn was called) and Dark Brotherhood assassin attacked me, the one from Morrowind. I have never been in Morrowind in that character.
2. I was a Criminal Scum and guard arrested me and i paid my fine, After paying my fine i was in Anvil Castle courtyard and i met quite odd NPC there, the Skaal Honor Guard from Solstheim.
So there is my bug report. I would really like to know what caused those NPC to spawn in Anvil.

Well the assasin is from Tribunal and his job is to kill you. But in Morrowind there was nowhere else to go but Vardenfell and Soltheim. I think his movement needs to be restricted to the cells in Morrowind.
So... How did you start your game? Morrowind style or Oblivion?
If you've played Morrowind/blivion and then want to go Cyrodiil I don't understand why you hav'nt killed the Dark Brotherhood in Mournhold already, Tribunal is automatically installed with Morroblivion.
If you want to complete Oblivion before going to Morrowind, don't, just don't, Oblivions creatures are level dependant while Morrowinds are set. I.E.:you will kill everything in Morrowind with 1-2 hits, and if you wanted that you might as well just have activated gode mode from the beginning.
The Skaal honor guard is more interesting, not actually an important bug but I'd say it was perhaps accidentally added to a classification for a "guardspawn" script or something.
Like i said i started my game at Cyrodiil, i have NEVER been in Morrowind with that particular character. Also that Assassin is supposed to attack you after you complete the Morrowinds mainquest. Well, its quite small "bug", i dont mind that assassin to attack me before i have completed the Morrowinds Mainquest(This is how it worked at original Morrowind). That Skaal Honor Guard is the real bug here.
That's not correct.
The Dark Brotherhood assasins start to attack you quite early in the game, from about level 2 onwards. It is not nesessary to do any of the main quest for them to attack you,so it's not odd that your being attacked.
Actually in Morroblivion the assassin is set to attack you only after you have done the Mainquest in Morrowind. Atleast this was the case few versions ago, maybe that is changed in latest build. I still count it as a bug, becouse i have never been in Morrowind so there is no reason why that assassin would attack me.
Dude, don't complain about a bug being there if you play the games backwards.
Yes, you know that thing the Oblivion Ashlanders say if they think your a dick,: "You remind me of my homeland, DURING THE BLIGHT."? As far as lore wise goes Oblivion is the sequel to Morrowind, playing it backwards basicly means your time travelling.
Not to mention that if you do Oblivion before Morrowind you'll be far too high a level to basicly enjoy any actual challenge, so as far as gameplay is concerned doing Oblivion first is just making sure Morrowind becomes a sight seeing trip.
Also, the dark brotherhood does'nt attack you for the main quest of Morrowind but for Tribunal. Since they seem to have no trouble getting from Mournhold to Vvardenfell I doubt getting to Cyrodiil would be much of a problem, especially since it's cannon that you can teleport from Mournhold to Vvardenfell via mages, even considering the mages would have an effective limit of teleportation, and taking that as the distance between Ebonheart and Mournhold, checking the map, from Mournhold to Ebonheart is the same distance as 0.5 times the distance between Mournhold and Cheydinhal.
So a Dark Brotherhood assasin would need at most 2 teleports to get into Cyrodiil, making it completely plausible that a time travelling assasin would try to kill you in Cyrodiil, because YOU (yes YOU) made this game include time travelling, CONTINUITY RESTORED!
Dont chance the subject here, the Skaal Honor Guard still has no reason to be in Cyrodiil at ALL! I dont care about your timetravelling mumbojambo, this is only a game and i am here to report a BUG, im not here to be advised how to play Oblivion. Here is some fine information for you Wodan, Morroblivion should not influence the province of Cyrodiil or spawn any objects or npc to it if i have never been in Morrowind. Morrowind excist in a completely different worldspace. So the mystery of buggy SKAAL HONOR GUARD remains, lets stay in that subject shall we.
ps: The Dark Brotherhood assassin dont have an AI Package or Script to use such services as Mournhold Teleporting system or any other kind of teleporting system and such a service(Teleporting from Morrowind to Cyrodiil) does not excist in this ->GAME<-.
If you did'nt want to continue the conversation about the Dark Brotherhood you should'nt have badly tried to refute my points, let me just show you exactly how flacid they are:
"Morroblivion should not influence the province of Cyrodiil or spawn any objects or npc to it if i have never been in Morrowind."
You loaded in the mod for Morroblivion before actually wanting to play the Morrowind section, by this action you FORCE in (you remember all those other mods you had to download? Vvardenfell imports?) the content into Oblivion, activating the mod after completing your main Cyrodiil bussiness would have solved all your problems.
"Morrowind excist in a completely different worldspace. So the mystery of buggy SKAAL HONOR GUARD remains, lets stay in that subject shall we."
It exists just as much in a different 'worldspace' as Anvil and a Anvil Watchtower interior do, it's all code, code does'nt care for silly ideas like worldspace, just about what references to what. The Honor Guard is still a bit vague but considering you seem to be the only one as of yet (and I just finished the Oblivion MQ after Morrowind) and it's closer to a minor aestethic problem then an actual bug.
"The Dark Brotherhood assassin dont have an AI Package or Script to use such services as Mournhold Teleporting system or any other kind of teleporting system and such a service(Teleporting from Morrowind to Cyrodiil) does not excist in this ->GAME<-."
The Dark Brotherhood assasins don't have ingame services to the get to Morrowind either, they just spawn there because it easier then letting a unit teleport all over the place, your point is based on that you ACTUALLY BELIEVE that the game works like life would, which is actually kind of cute. Actually, to be a bit more precise, the actual script works with proximity, so the assasin spawns next to the bed (in Morrowind originally altough I hav'nt experienced it quite like that).
Now, going by your logic, because the Dark Brotherhood assasins have a spawn-next-to-player script that must mean they can spawn at will anywhere? Even the moon as long the NPC had a reason to be there?
And another thing, and this is not even touching on the conventional methods of travel is that Oblivion itself uses, the Mages Guild teleport system. Let me give you a very valuable link that I hoped you'd have googled after my previous post, the Elder Scrolls map: http://pc-overware.be/Frenrir/Images/Jeux/The%20Elder%20Scro...
As you can clearly see Balmora is actually closer to Cheydinhal then Kvatch, making teleportation between Balmora and Cheydinhal easier to do then across the imperial hartland, which they have no problem doing. If your to go by the power and levels of the actual teleporting mages it's not exactly a high class feat, making it even possible that they have their own teleporting mage if not just simply kidnapped one (wonder who enchants all their armor...).
"this is only a game and i am here to report a BUG, im not here to be advised how to play Oblivion"
Well, if your doing it in a way that messes up the fun and causes bugs at the same time, you really should'nt be playing that way. I'm guessing the only reason noone else managed to find bugs like this is because they played it likes it's supposed to be played, which is clearly written on the download page. This is like playing Dragon Age 2 and then bitching it won't take your save in Dragon Age 1.

So which one of us thinks that Oblivion works like a real life...i was being sarcastic in my reply to your ridiculous post, but have it your way. From now on im not going to report bugs or do anything else for this project. When this place is purged from dicks like you, then i might come back. Good luck for the project, your going to need it if more people like Wadon starts to lurk around this site. Farewell.
Get out, AND STAY OUT!
And take your bad grammar with you.
Such a big mouth you have dear Wodan, considering you have not contributed anything to Morroblivion project. Also you certainly are not the most helpful person when it comes to debugging and you dare to complain about other peoples english. English is not my mother tongue or even a second language. Also there are quite many of us here that come from non-english speaking countrys. So you should stop your trolling and start being useful to this site and project.
Actually, considering you even managed to mispell my name as Wadon and english is'nt my native language either I have all the right to call your out on your horrible writing skills.
And as far as debugging goes, I actually take the time to bloody help someone if they post a bug here, most of the people here have bugs that actually make it impossible for them to proceed, or at least very difficult, this however is just a useless post by some idiot that thinks that ALL BUGS MUST BE REPORTED, everyone that plays this game finds small bugs like this on a consistent basis, we don't post em all in their own threads because THEY ARE NOT IMPORTANT, it was'nt too long ago that the main quest was completed, there are bigger priorities then fixing every little aestethic bug, Steph for instance managed to find a huge error in the code to do with the leveling of your character that could potentionally crash the game on a consistent basis, he probably noticed too that noone else seemed to have the problem up until that point, so he did'nt make a thread, perhaps waiting till he had more answers to help other people with.
Just from playing yesterday I could make a post about an error in the Solstheim mesh for the stronghold, guards occasionaly having transexual armor and Redoran Guards running around without armor, making a damn thread for all these small bugs would'nt help anyone as the bugs that are relevant right now are the gamebreaking ones.
However, what you do is you find the first completely irrelevant bug while playing the game backwards and then bitch and moan that someone should fix YOUR bug.
And I told you to stay out because you where going the whole poor martyr route: "Woe me, he has wronged me and I shall take my vengeance upon the project (by not posting irrelevant bug reports anymore)."
Also, if your want someone to take your threats to leave seriously you probably should'nt post the next day anyway.
Please keep the forums friendly. If you think that something is irrelevent or pointless or that someone is being unreasonable, then simply ignore it and move on.
Its a valid bug report in my opinion and should be solved in the next release (if its caused by a problematic script and not a bad save-game reference): DB assassins should't attack you in Cyrodil, nor should Skall spawn in Anvil, the project's aim is to keep the two worlds as isolated as possible.
Hashmi, I'm glad you edited your post to remove the flamer comment, as this is more a strange discussion gotten out of hand then an actual flame war.
As the discussion was getting pointless anyway I'll leave it be, but on fixing this bug, are you actually going to dedicate your time on it? Because there are still bugs plagueing this game that are stopping people from completing quests or just playing at all that have been around since the previous game version, I would find it a bit odd if this got prescendence over those people.
Also, as a note, the only way to get the results he's getting is to load an OLD save game from before installing Morroblivion (or activating it), not sure how you people are on the project but what I remember from ANY world overhaul mod in Oblivion and Morrowind is that they always told you to make a new save as otherwise you could get loads of unexpected bugs.
I believe most people know this and that's why noone encountered bugs like this before (regardless if they're save or game based), just attaching a disclaimer to not do this would seem alot more logical then debug the whole game for backwards playing when there's still so much work left to do.
I managed to get one step closer to solving the odd spawns i had. I noticed that everytime i pay my fine to the guards in Cyrodiil that Skaal Honor Guard spawns to Castele Courtyard where i am after i have paid my fine. Simply put, if i break law in chorrol and i pay the fine to guards the Skaal Honor Guard spawns to chorrols Castle Courtyard. Maybe someone who has more experience of these kind of things now might find the cause for this. I will update if i find more information towards this bug.
Just bumbing the topic. Also the Skaal honor guards still spawns when ever i pay my fine to guards. I tried to fix this myself, but i dont know where to start. I am tempted to delete all Skaal guards from game until fix is made. I tend to roleplay with my "Burglar" character, and whenever i am caught i pay the fine and it kind of ruins the immersion when you see that guy from Solstheim every single time when you pay the fine. Has anyone suggestions where should i look in CS to find this bug? Is it a script or something else?
Changing status on these to 'critical' as they interfere with normal Oblivion gameplay.
Also, similar reports of Morrowind NPCs spawing in Cyrodiil are here: http://morroblivion.com/morrowind-npcs-in-cyrodiil
Title changed to be more descriptive. If anyone has any ideas on where to look to fix this bizzare issue, then please post them. :-)
Funny you should mention it - I've just had a DB assassin spawn in the Shivering Isles. That's dedication!
I guess they don't perform something like a location check as it wasn't necessary in Morrowind - all appearances would be on Vvardenfell and de facto in context. /captain obvious
No thoughts on the Skaal Honour guard, though. I'm not familiar enough with Bloodmoon. Did they spawn outside Solstheim?
eta: Heh, listen to me. Is it even possible to do a check of the player's location?
The skaal honour guard bug sounds similar to a fighters guild bug(in vanilla Oblivion) where some people you met on the first quest would appear outside of whatever town your in's castle(or in the IC the jail)when you paid a fine.
@Vivec Oh yeah, I had that bug years ago on oblivion for the 360 way before I got me first gaming pc. It annoyed me so bad I tried to kill them and got expelled from the fighters guild twice.
I've found that Guards follow me around after I've been in jail no matter what world I'm in. I have several worlds installed and the Skall HonorGuards follow me everywhere .. I just ignore them.
The bug with skaal honor guard was caused by wrong condition on his AI package, which forced him to find the player continuosly (poor guy :))
Fix: http://www.mediafire.com/?os03n18733y9321
This fix was merged into version 053, closing this issue. Thanks!
I have v055 installed and I have experienced the same / similar issues. Not only Morrowind NPC's show up in Cyrodiil, I have seen the reverse.
If I get arrested and either pay the fine or go to prison (no matter if I am in Morrowind or Cyrodiil). Outside the prison there seems to be a NPC / quest entanglement issue.
I started my character in Morrowind, but went back and forth between Morrowind in Cyrodiil. One example I did the following quest and went to Morrowind before Audens Avidius broke out of prison to find and attack me:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Imperial_Corruption
I went to prison in Morrowind, and guess who was waiting for me just outside of prison... Aydens Avidius.
I have also seen these 3 outside of prison in Morrowind:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:The_Desolate_Mine_(quest)
Also stands some characters from Morrowind out there. I don't have their names, however I do believe they are the same ones mentioned here but I would need to go back and try again to be sure and get their names.
For some reason outside of prison (after being arrested / paying fine), the 2 worlds get entangled.
