I assume that you've already got Morrowind (and its expansions) and Oblivion (patched to 1.2), and downloaded Morroblivion.
Okay, your first step is to extract the Morroblivion files. You need 7-zip or some other similar file extractor to do it. Just extract them to a folder on your desktop, or whereever.
Next, once everything's extracted, navigate to that folder and inside will be a file called Morroblivion.ini. Open that up with a text editor, and we're going to change a couple things. The original should look like this:
; Initialisation file containing Path and Files to use
; with Morroblivion ESP Converter and NIF Converter
; lines to be ignored begin with ";", to uncomment a line
; just remove the ";"
; Morrowind and Oblivion paths, don't forget to change them
; if you did not install the 2 games in the default folders
Morrowind=C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\
Oblivion=C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\
; Master files to convert with ESP Converter,
; ignored by NIF Converter
Master 0=Morrowind.esm
Master 1=Tribunal.esm
Master 2=Bloodmoon.esm
Master 3=PNOG.esm
;Master 4=
;Master 5=
;Master 6=
; Archive files to use for conversion,
; used by both ESP Converter and NIF Converter
Archive 0=Morrowind.bsa
Archive 1=Tribunal.bsa
Archive 2=Bloodmoon.bsa
Archive 3=PNOG.bsa
;Archive 4=
;Archive 5=
;Archive 6=
; Mod files to merge with during ESP/ESM conversion,
; ignored by NIF Converter
Mod 0=Better Clothes_v1.0.esp
Mod 1=CanadianIce Robe Replacer.esp
Mod 2=Armures de femmes.esp
;Mod 3=
;Mod 4=
;Mod 5=
;Mod 6=
;Mod 7=
;Mod 8=
;Mod 9=
What you want to do next is place a semicolon ( ; ) in front of anything you don't want to convert. For instance, if you don't own Tribunal or Bloodmoon, you'd place a ; in front of the master and archive lines of those expansions. If you own both, just leave them as they are.
Place a ; in front of the lines containing PNOG, unless you're French, because those lines have to do with the French version of the game. Also, near the bottom of the file you'll see some stuff like Mod 0=. Place a ; in front of those if you don't have those Morrowind mods, or just don't want to convert them.
Once you're done editing the file, save and close it, and return to the folder.
Now, there will be a file called ESP_conv. Double click that to start the conversion process. It will take a while to convert them, so sit back or go do something else for a bit. It'll let you know when it's done.
When it's finished, exit out and open up Oblivion. Click Data Files at the launch screen, and enable Morrowind_ob.esm. Currently, you don't really need to enable Tribunal_ob.esm and Bloodmoon_ob.esm.
Also! look into downloading the CNME mod. This mod will place a ship in the Anvil docks that takes you to Seyda Neen.
That's all, enjoy!
Read the attached ReadMe for further details and information. I just translated it from French with Google Translate, so the English might be a bit off. But I don't speak French, so it'll have to do.

i am new to these forums.. so here we go:
i followed your steps one by one and everything worked fine,, until i came to converting part.. i clicked on the icon called ESP_conv. and it said that morrowind esm. , tribunal esm. and bloodmoon esm. files dose not exsist, what am i doing wrong?? i have both morrowind and oblivion installed... i have XP if that helps..
i am really looking forward to play this mod.. hope to get some help soon..
Double post my bad
well for xp you gotta be administrator from what i know...
and you may need to reinstall the bloodmoon and tribunal packs again then morrowind... if its goty morrowind just reinstall morrowind, tribunal, then bloodmoon(in that order of course). or... you may have downloaded a corrupt version of the mod with a failing converter in which case redownload the mod. if this does not work im sorry
i have a danish computer so that was why the converter could not find the files... its work fine now.. thanks anyway..
that could be why then
ohhh...does this work with Vista
i have a goty morrowind and a goty oblivion and tryed to work the to comverter programs and nothing works is there a program or something you can put a link to on here that will help
I've seen this comment before to do with the 'converter not working'
and i've seen the supposed solution...
'reinstal Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon'
I did this but still it can't find them why? and please someone who managed to make it work helpme.
Just to check that the download wasn't good i downloaded again but still nothing.
Please help!
men, the converter is not working, i've just reinstalled morrowind, tribunal and oblivion, and still keep saying that any of the files does not exist, can u help me¿?
I downloaded it, installed it into a folder on the desktop, made the instructed edit to the .ini and then ran the program. It worked fine. First test I had no landmass, just water, then I re-read the readme again and set the load order properly. It works awesomely. Everything is there all right.
This program is so full of awesome it makes me weep. It's cool to wander Morrowind, it's a seamless integration as far as I'm concerned. It's like Oblivion just got a LOT bigger.
The ESP_ conv file crashes in the middle of conversion. Here is the latest message displayed in the terminal before it crashes:
Welcome to NIF converter v1.08
creating G:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Meshes\morro\d
Converting d\Ex_Redoran_barracks_01_a.nif to G:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks
\Oblivion\Data\Meshes\morro\d\ExURedoranUbarracksU01Ua.nif
Does anyone know what the problem is? (In case there's any confusion, typing G:\ is not an error. My G: drive is most people's C: drive. Long story.)
The converter also crashed for me
Here was the problem it said ;
Welcome to NIF Converter v1.08
creating C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Clothes\morro\wolf
Converting wolf\skin.NIF to C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Clothes\morro\wolf\skin4.nif
too many keys!
Error parsing files!
Then it crashes
which ESP converter did that?
Please I REALLY NEED THIS INFORMATION.
I had the same problem as above. Everything was identical, about the wolf skin and too many keys. I moved the folder containing the converter package into the root of C: (previously on the desktop), ran it again. Seemed to work fine. Another thing of note is that the first time (when it crashed), I ran in fullscreen (because I thought it looked wierd lol).
I'm not sure what information you're looking for. The version I'm using is ESPConverter_v0_98b, the ESP_conv.exe application is the one that crashed.
thanks .
I used 95,96 ,97 ,98 and 98b
only 98 didn't crash, but it had no objects ,no people ,NOTHING.
P.S: how can you even play in a window,so small ,such a bad thing.
What I meant about the window was when I was running the converter (when it crashed), I pressed Alt+Enter to make the console run in full screen. I'm not sure if that had any effect at all though, just something I thought I might mention. A window is too small for Oblivion though, gotta play full
.
I got it to work in the end though. Pretty nice integration! Too bad the quests don't work...but WOW! Oblivion is twice as big now
.
Cheers.
good I'm happy now
I have the biggest problem of all, the file tried to find morrowind in my C:// drive which isn't my hard disk drive LOL my hard disk drives located in my H:// drive, and I don't exactly see a settings.ini file that lets me edit the path to my game which is rather unconvenient I wanted to see this 'Morrowind in oblivion' for myself =[
OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Go to a notepad file that came with morroblivion.
It is called morroblivion ini or something.
change the C with H or gogog or lalalala or with a name of zour hard drive and save .
that should do it.
First of all I would like to ask where do I extract the converter files to?
My main question is that I have changed morroblivion.ini to the specifications, but when I click on esp_conv.exe and the black box comes up it tells me this:
Welcome in Morrowing to Oblivion mod translator v0.98
Parsing Morrowing.esm
Parsing Tribunal.esm
Parsing Bloodmoon.esm
Can't create c:\ProgramFiles\BethesdaSoftware\Oblivion\Data\Morrowind_ob.cnv
Please press enter...
I am really interest in playing this and I would appretiate some help. Is there any fix for this?
John K.
i dont know what the hell is wrong with this. I have the mod and everything in data files but the boat is not in anvil any suggestions? also my game crashes every now and then when i play. WTF? i have vista
How Would One Go About Getting Quests To Work From Morrowind In Oblivion? Are People Trying To Do This As We Speak, Or Is It Something We Have To Attempt? Is It Even Possible, I wanted to know this and also to see if i can use mods such as the underground, underground 2, wizards island and a few others in oblivion, i havent tried these yet, i am just about to try using morrowind In oblivion, exciting! id just love to see such an intergration that morrowind is playable in full, with everything from the old game
Ok, i can get to morrowind HOORAY!!!!!!
But downside is a few things, some guards and ppl have no arms, the soldier who is supposed to give you "duties" and the package for caius (i am using the morrowind main quest mod) has no armour and is naked, and doesnt give me the box :\ apart from that wow the place looks awesome, is it something to do with my morrowind files? should i do a clean install and redo the esp converter? because i have tons of texture mods installed for morrowind currently, so i thought maybe they conflict with it! well cheers for any feedback, i must sleep now or i will be tooo tired to get up for work !
People who are having the problem with the files not being found who are using Vista 64-bit: on the .ini, be sure to change the file paths for Oblivion and Morrowind to C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion
and Morrowind to C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind. Also note that there is a space in between "Program Files" and "(x86)".
hmmm. . .downloaded but its not working. . .gon to anvil bay but there is no boat. . .only the character "guard". . . .. . .when i travel to Morrowind there is nothing but my hud. . .and pure blue. . .i get this message during conversion. . .. . ."Welcome to NIF converter v1.08
Wrong NIF version
Error parsing line!
press enter. . ."
Any help would be apreciated.
wtf.... half way into the converter or so it says it stopped working
does it have anything to do with me re installing the game? because i re installed it
I did all ofthat, used the Esp converter and downloaded the mods (all ofthem on the page) but they didn't show up in the data files on Oblivion's menu! Morrowind Bloodmoon and Tribunal showed up, but nothing else! I tried to go to Morrowind but the boat wasn't there and it wouldn't let me cross over! Help!
1. Did you make sure you installed the mods into the correct directory? It should be C://ProgramFiles/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion/Data, or something similar.
2. Were there any errors while running the Converter?
Also, I'm not quite sure what you mean... Morrowind_ob, Tribunal_ob and Bloodmoon_ob should be the only three esm mods that show up to be able to run Morroblivion... so maybe make sure that Morrowind_ob is set to load directly after Oblivion.esm. There should be no mods between them, and if there is it will cause Morroblivion not to work properly.
Ohhh..... I thought that Oblivion and the expancions were supposed to load first then Morrowind and its expancions then mods..... Thanks!!!!
Well, Oblivion.esm should always load first, as it is the ultimate master, but to play Morroblivion you have to put Morrowind_ob.esm, Tribunal_ob.esm and Bloodmoon_ob.esm right after Oblivion.esm.
Can someone upload an archived version of properly converted Morroblivion? From the experience of racing games I can say that conversions are a real headache for a normal user and it is far too tricky to do everything properly. I am working on trying to get Morrowblivion working and it's the fourth time I am converting things now... still nothing works. Now surely a properly converted and archived file would be much, much easier to install and play. :-/
Can't do - polish version here.

If we do that bethesda will shut us down in a blink of an eye.
Besides, the problem here is not the ESP Converter, actually the problem is the Installer. If somebody wants to make something useful with this "mod" well my sugestion is to make a decent Installer for Morroblivion.
for example :Open the .exe, browse the location of Morrowind and Oblivon next Selec the extra esp you wish to convert, and finally hit convert.
Easy! I have no idea how to do it, but that shoud be awesome, its also necesary to have the source code, in order to create an Install Wizard .exe?
This is the only "worth" improvement we should have in a next version of the ESP Converter.
Seeya ;D
I am having this exact same problem and nothing i do fixes it(moving/tweaking) short of removing that command from the list of run commands what i can do to get it to finish running?
Re-Edit: The problem im having is with the wolf/skin file same problem as one near top.
when I launch the esp conv I get the following
Welcome in Morrowind to Oblivion mod translator v0.98
Parsing Morrowind.esm
Parsing Tribunal.esm
Parsing Bloodmooon.esm
can't create C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Morrowind_ob.cnv!
