NOTE 1#:

These are .rar files, I use a tool called WinRAR to open them, or you can use 7-zip as well.

Man, I just don't know. We discussed some of this further back in the post, like how to use the messed up file I uploaded, with ctrl f. But I don't know how you could export a nice clean looking file. I think you either need to use the messed up text file and ctrl f, like I describe way above, or just do what Sot suggested and use the CS, which is probably the best option.

I don't think you can generate morro without oblivion, because Morro depends on Oblivion as its master, unless maybe you did quest by quest... Sorry man, wish I could be more helpful....

Are you useing the CS, or the CSE that Ice Eyes suggested above in this thread? Perhaps the CSE might help you. What are you going to do with the exported text once its... exported?

Here. I opened just Morrowind_ob.esm (not Oblivion.esm) with the CSE, then went to file > Export > Dialogue. Here is the file I got.

I found a cs link

I found a cs link here:http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Export_Dialogue It says it should take a long time :(

So you went to character-> export dialogue.

Ya, that's gross.

So what are you going to use that big file for?

Wow, so what you're saying is that you could make an excel file that people could easily access to do their voice acting instead of using the CS? That would be a sweet time saver. I hope this works man, that's a cool idea!

I'll look at it, but I honestly don't even know If I'd know if it were wrong or not.

How did you convert it to excel, that's pretty crazy!

Could you give me more info on what I'm looking at. Like could you label the columns and give a basic summary of the file.

What I'm seeing and understanding is:

A B C D E F G H I

Form Id FormId QuestID NoIdea NoIdea NoIdea NoIdea TopicID Dialogue

Thanks man. This thing looks like you could really help people with it!

SB>> The Morrroblivion.txt

SB>> The Morrroblivion.txt dosn't have the file paths in them. I don't have excel so I can't check the excel files. But I will try and explain so you can figure this out.

example:

Generic_TimeToGo_0002A4B8_1    Data\Sound\Voice\Oblivion.esm\High Elf\M\Generic_TimeToGo_0002A4B8_1.mp3    File Found        It's time for you to go.

File name: Generic_TimeToGo_0002A4B8_1

Data path: Data\Sound\Voice\Oblivion.esm\High Elf\M\Generic_TimeToGo_0002A4B8_1.mp3

Dialog: It's time for you to go.

The race and gender are in the file path

The Morroblivion txt file you posted isn't complete. Can you make an excel sheet from this link?

http://www.mediafire.com/?1t456ylzto3tsq5

This is a complete txt file for Morroblivion dialoug.

Just nice, man. Just nice.

So the file Sot showed you is I believe, the file I uploaded in a couple seconds, aka file export #1. While it would be super to have name and race etc. Your excel could be used by people who don't have the cs but have a mic and are willing to act and then send us the files to 'process'. So We'ed still have to go in and rename the files instead of the actors doing that. :( But, we'ed be able to open this up to people without the CS :) The text file did that, but was very messy and complicated. You're excel file will allow people to voice act with even less complications. Hopefully we can use this to get more variety of voice acting.

Wait, I opened the Dialogue Export 8 excel file. Is there anything wrong with that file, because it looks stupendous. I mean it looks REALLY nice. DANG is that nice. This would eliminate the CS for all but to generate lip files and to set the emotional value.

ps. Dang, nice readme.  Forget that. Just. Nice Everything in this package. Nice readme, nice putting all the files there, nice excel work. Just Nice, man.

Dude, great work!We have a

Dude, great work!

We have a problem conserning the folder hierarchy. You're totally right as to how it is and how it should be, but I've run into some weird stuff:

When I did Master Neloth, it had me put his voice files in High Elf. he is a Dunmar, according to both the wiki websites, and even the CS. The CS says he is a dark elf/ dunmar and then says the file path is High Elf!

Also, I believe the chargencaptain (who takes your papers and gives you the first quest update in the main quest). His voice files that Robert was able to bring over from morrowind are in the Breton/M folder, while the dialogue I recorded for him was supposed to be put in the Imperial folder.

So we have to solve this mystery before we can get the folder hiearchy working. I don't know why this is doing this. Any ideas?

I only know of using the CSE to generate lip files, but maybe there is anothe way....

Hey, you going fast allows us to plan ahead, its a good thing. :D

Thanks man.

PS. When you're done with this, will you have any way to sort dialogue by character? That would be so extremely useful...

SB: Agred with Sot. This is

SB: Agred with Sot. This is going to be great!

People who do voice overs will either be doing a specific character or the gender of a race. That means that it would be most helpful to be able to sort by specific NPC and by Gender and Race (and maybe be able to exclude lines that are assigned to a specific NPC or to a quest). If you can get those working, plus the other things you've already said your working at (like your lip generation), then we'll be able to leave the entire cs behind. That would be huge, because it means we could recruit people to act who either don't have oblivion or can't run a program like the cs on their computer, or simply don't want to learn the skill set. This is really really going to help us. :D

Sot: In the case that I get to working on a race before SB gets the excel working, how do you find all the generic male lines of a race in the cs? Thanks

Iceburg

Wow! How weird is that?

#1 I could see that morrowind uses some dialogue from oblivion, such as greetings goodbeyes, rumors and services. So I could definatly see that being a big problem getting that sorted. I know that Robertneville is working on replacing that dialgoue with Morrowind equivilents, so he would be the best place to start on tracking that down...

#2 Sounds to me like that's error (random positronic drift). Any way you could figure out what two cells are edited? If so you could probably tell David and he'd probably fix those cells...

Good luck SB!

"Do you want to recreate all facial animations?" - WOW dude, its a sneaky sneaky snake, but it looks like it works! Great spot SB! Dang man. There is one more problem down. I'll test it on the next character I do.

My one question is, is it redoing ALL voice files, or just the ones that havn't already been done? We don't want it to redo ALL the files...

Not exactly,

"Do you want to recreate all facial animations?"

Not exactly, but if it works then I will beable to generate more then 60.000 LIP-Sync Files with one press of a button.

The only thing I need now is the MorroblivionDialogueExport.txt with all the corect filenames and voice lines, so I can get started.

Glad to hear you're working on it. I got nervous that you had left / abandoned the idea.

So keep working! Again, if you do this and it works it will revolutionize the voice over morroblivion industry! We'll be able to recruit more people and it will be easier for everybody.

I am moving on to the next step !

I now have a database-file with 21.000 voice lines with the coresponding and hopefully correct filenames. I think I must be missing allot of voice lines, but I will move on to the next step, otherwise I keep hanging on this point forever.

Wow…. I just converted the MP3’s I have so far to Wave format.
My PC is going to face a massive HD filling if I complete this all.

I just completed 25% of one race and both the MP3’s and Wave take up 15GB.
For the total project will that be 1.200GB (1.2TB)
LOL, I don’t have that much space.

Wait, are you saing that the fully voiced dialogue mod, once finished, will take 1.2 teribytes of space?

You only need the mp3s. You don't need the wav files. (It can generate the lip files and play sound with just the mp3s). What does it look like without the wav files?

I know that you all don’t need the Wave files.

Yeah, tell me about it, I know that you all don’t need the Wave files.

But I will need them all on this side, to complete the whole thing.

I will need to do it in stages, to limit the space taken.

When it will be ready for shipment the size will be around 25GB.

It will be so big due to the inefficient Dialogue export on my side.

The inefficiency is due to the export not containing correct data.

I have no idea what race speaks which dialogue lines.

And therefore all dialogue lines will be in the package for all races.

Maybe I can clean the package after LIP-Sync files generation.

NOTE:

Don’t let my effort in making Morroblivion a less silenced world

hold anyone back from doing great voice acting. My methods are

not perfect and will contain lots of bugs, even missing a few lines.

Just look at my work as the opposite of one of those silence mod fixes.

Will upload the dialogue export package tomorrow

I have no idea why the 3 totally different dialogue export methods give 3 totally different results. Because getting 54.000 or getting 22.000 dialogue lines is a very big difference. At the moment I have the impression that the method giving 22.000 dialogue lines is the most correct method. I think the rest has Oblivion dialogue lines included in the export. And yes I am going to try and generate 22.000 dialogue lines fully voiced plus the LIP-Sync.

I tried too hard to make

I tried too hard to make lip-sync files, so here is what I did. Hopefully that worked. Please check if this will work. All frequency and other stuff are correct.

1-I installed Construciton set 1.0
2-I copyed its exe file and renamed it as TESConstructionSetOld.exe
3-Then updated it newest.
4-Then installed Construction Set Extender
5-Added this to the construction set's ini file(which is at My Dcuments/My Games/Oblivion):

 bAllowMultipleEditors=1

(but you may rather change this from 0 to 1, if it already exists)
6- I put both MP3 and wav files to the asked location with the name asked in the construction set.
7- I clicked generate lip file button than wav turned into another file.

Note: Now that I understood the process completely(hopefully :) ) Very soon I'll send you my voice files too.

Note #2: Mine won't be too big but for sjors' files, can't we compress them? I don't know well but bsa files are for this right?

I did what Dark South did,

I did what Dark South did, but I only deal with wav files when I'm recording / editing. Then I convert the wav files to mp3s, and only move the mp3 files to the game folders/ only upload the mp3s.

It's worked for me to just use the mp3s, so while useing the wav files as well is more through, I don't think it absolutely needs to be done. Working with just mp3s should also massively reduce file sizes.

Hey Dark South, nice tutorial. Very clear and yet concise :)

David doesn't like useing bsa files for the main, but since this is a mod, we could probably definatly do a BSA :D I think it could be a good idea, but we should talk to David to get the pros and cons of using one.

I'm glad to see we've still got people working on this. :D I still plan to upload my latest character and clean some files, though at this point I have no eta for said work...
