Got in an Oblivion mood today and ploughed through most of the Tribunal Temple Questline set... Great fun, thanks all for the hard work! Started out running v31 of Morroblivion. Afraid I haven't played through this line in the original game, so I'm unsure exactly how many overlaps there are.
* Pilgrimages of the Seven Graces: Requires you to take a soul gem to the ghostfence shrine. The shrine itself seems to accept any empty gem (didn't try full, but it happily takes empty common ones), but the questline specifically requires an empty petty one (unspecified by all documentation and quest log notices). The quest notes readme file included with Morroblivion hints at this with mention of a "petty soul gem discharger", but also doesn't outright state that you "need" to have a certain type. (Already documented here, but I figured I'd collate as many bugs surrounding the temple quests as I encountered).
* Compassion: You're sent to heal an orc. Though provided with a potion for the task, you're encouraged to return this if possible; the original Morrowind has a bug where you can only finish the quest by indicating that you used the potion instead. Morroblivion seems to share this bug, as stating you didn't use the potion results in a "well done!" speach but the quest doesn't end. (You can end the conversation and re-do it with the "potion used" response in order to progress, but each time you do you get handed another quest reward...).
* Silent Pilgrimage: You're supposed to get to a shrine without speaking to anyone. Immediately after taking the vow of silence I spoke to the quest giver again, who didn't seem to mind the conversation. Perhaps at the least the PC should be hit with a silence effect for the duration of the quest?
* Hair Shirt of St. Aralor: Uvoo Llaren sends you to recover a shirt with a constant health damaging enchantment on it ("cast on use" in the original Morrowind)... then she puts it on. She's marked essential, so it won't kill her, but it does keep knocking her out...
* Necromancer in Mawia: Sent to slay a necromancer, he died within seconds of entering his building... well before I got to him. Presumably his own undead "minions" attacked him on sight. Quest log accepts this as being the player's kill, so the quest still "works".
* Slay Raxle Berne: You're sent to kill the leader of a vampire clan. I found all the vampires in his lair to initially be friendly and talkative (unlike all other vampires, who attack on sight - it's not like my character had any diseases or vampiric traits). I didn't find Raxle at all (even with tcl); the quest marker points to the correct location, but he wasn't there. Note that this character has other quests associated with him (or should do, at least), dunno if that's got something to do with it.
(At this point I updated to Morroblivion v32, but as that didn't resolve the Raxle issue, I decided to skip it and move on to the final NPC in the temple quest line.)
* Malacath of the House of Troubles: This is the first quest given to you by Tholer Saryoni, who's initially locked in a room. Another Dunmer in the same building gives you a key when you're ready for it, but you don't need it to open the lock to get in and speak with him. The quest will not progress past the introduction unless you collect it, however - so long as you're at the correct rank, he'll tell you he's got a task, but the option to continue the conversation won't appear.
* Molag Bal of the House of Troubles: Tholer Saryoni (from the above quest) sends you to visit a number of shrines, and this quest covers the third of these. Whenever I attempt to enter the underground area of Bal Ur, however (that being where the statue is), I get a CTD (splash screen with loading bar first, then a black screen, then the CTD). Haven't been there before, so I'm not sure what'd be there to cause the crash.

Instead of making a new thread... I have to say that i didn't find the Gambolpuddy
They should be under the pillow in: Ald Daedroth, Antechamber but nothing there

Oh sorry... I went there while doing the main quest, and talked to the "Khajiit"Orc.
So maybe the quest have to be active to find it?
Because I looked under the pillows + used the tlc command

Yeah I totally agree with you :)
Having trouble with the false
Having trouble with the false incarnate... Doing this before the main quest, so my only option is to kill him. However, killing him doesn't advance the quest, and I can't turn it in. I've resurrected/killed him several times (felt like I was being a little sadistic for a priest), and still no go. Is this on my side, or has everyone else just done this after the mq?
After playing Morrowind since
After playing Morrowind since it's released, I never knew that you could complete that quest as long as his disposition was at least 65. And I -HATED- that quest for that reason, since I do the tribunal temple before the mq XD Either way, it doesn't complete if you kill him like it should.

Determined the final crash to be caused by out of date support files (would be nice if there was a note somewhere indicating if they've been updated along with the main ESP!). Doesn't seem to have fixed Raxle, though.
Can't continue with the next quest though. I ask for duties, Tholer mentions "Gambolpuddy", and... that's it. No further discussion topics present themselves.
I tried visiting the shrine in concern anyway, but the gloves aren't there. I could swear I found them in the original Morrowind, though I never joined the temple there - I just happened to loot the shrine. I'm also reasonably certain the temple ordinators there should fight the cultists, though they just stand around and chat with each other.
I've noticed that temple members, while speaking as though I'm one of them, have the conversation option to "make amends". Asking this of Tuls Valen gives a response of "no, you've broken the rules twice, you're not getting back in". Not sure what I did, but it look's like that's that.
UESP states that Tholer Saryon, the leader of the temple, should also be able to give the amends quest, but he just tells me to find a master if asked. It also states I should be able to be expelled twice before getting this message, but given that I've never made amends before, it's not possible that that's happened. Or can you be expelled twice without rejoining in between...?!
