Missing Meshes 1 or two

Submitted by JCastle on

Hi there, new chap James here hope your all well! :) i know i am. Enjoing the nice weather and enjoying the Morroblivion project.

Anyways, wanted to ask for help with a couple of things, ive got morroblivion working now just firstly im missing a mesh on the ceiling in the census and excise office where Sellus Gravius is in Seyda Neen and when i briefly visited Balmora, i noticed right away that one of the guards with the yellow armour on has a giant missing mesh sticking out the left side of his waist and that moves when he's walking around, hehe kinda looks funning.  That and this chap here http://www.youtube.com/user/InsectEmu8#p/u/24/2ytzWwrels4  has gotten Morroblivion working, but he seems to have been able to keep the character's talking right from the boat at the start onwards where as i havent, i was instructed on the installation video's to use elys silent voice thing whatever its called again which alows me time to read the text instead of it flying off the screen. Anyone know how Insect chap in this vid was able to keep the speaking in his Morroblivion?  I'll be asking him too.

(oH and, when i look in the barrel for Fargoths ring of healling before i enter Sellus Gravius's office where the missing ceiling mesh is, the ring picture isnt showing up in the menue, just the text telling me what it is there but theres no picture of it. Im getting that with one or two misc items like that. Plants etc seem to be ok.)

Any assistance, tips or advice will be gratefull. Thanks. And, STAY ADVENTURING.

James.

I do not install things like in the videos, so I cannot support that. However, when you have a problem, you need to be very, explicitly specific. "A missing mesh" does not give me much to go on. Get a copy of FormIDFinder. For Ely's to work, you need to launch the game using the OBSE launcher, but there is support elsewhere for OBSE, and I'm not going to go into it here. As a guess, you have not installed Additional Support Files 2, and are not using the OBSE Launcher.

Hi there, as a newbie i am sorry that im not sure what things are and how to do certain things but im slowly learning as i realy do wish to learn. Also, please be patient as i have a health issue with memory and learning but im getting there. thank you for your help and support David.

Right what is a FormIDFinder AND how do i use it, or find it etc?  and i'll go and transfer .. ahh hang on a flipping seccond.. i think i know which two files you mean, the ones on my pc that dont have any installation instructions to them and to where to put them. Additional_Support_Files_1 and 2 both just have the Data folder in them, i think maybe they go in the morroblivion v(whatever number it is) folder...? i'll go try stick them in there amd see what happens.. hehe.. DOH! might even fix the ring thing. be back sooon.

Hey again, thanks for your support there.

Right, well i got the form id downloaded and i think i got the Hlaalu Guard thing sorted, as i found a subject in the forum about it and they said it was something to do with the shields they werent carrying so they uploaded a .esp to fix this untill a proper full fix could be sorted.  The second one, the missing Mesh in Sallus Gravus office, on his ceiling, wasnt on his ceiling after all. heheh. it it a Travel Lantern "Travel Lantern" (0184e764)  Does that mean anything to you David? It doesnt mean much to me, suffice to say im thinking that there are individual files called .nif that is the mesh and that isnt in the right folder or its not installed at all or something like that. hehe least im trying. sorry for being such a newbie. :D Right lets see if the Hlaalu sheild works.

James. p.s. im re reading the form id instructions a dozen times to try learn. :)

If you install everything correctly, you will not need any separate patches or fixes. I have bundled ALL patches, meshes, and textures into Additional Support Files 2. I do not have ANY missing meshes or textures in my game, which formed the basis of the "Complete Installation." Since then, everything has been placed into one of the two Additional Support Files (or Eloth Misc Items & Ingredients).

hey there, well yep your right.  All i can say is how daft am i with all this. hehe

The reason why i say this is because well reading a combination of forum posts, and your messages i got to thinking and ended up adding 2 and 2 together.  I was useing some old files that i had downloaded before the project had stopped, and of course there'd be missing stuff or something or other.  I then descided to download and install the recent files from your site here (now the project is back up and running, thankyou) and well, the game works, and i have the missing lantern back that was missing in the census excise office in seyda neen. the guards are sorted to.  Yay!. I just dont get any talking like the guy in the youtube gameplay (..."wake up, wake up, you were dreaming..." etc).

Well, i've made notepads and kept them in the appropriate Morroblivion folder's to tell me what to do and when etc. like instructions so hopefully this time i'll take more notice at what im doing.  Thank you David for your assistance, and a great game project.  Have a great evening.

Hmmm...that's weird that you're missing the beginning voices. I'll check that out. I've noticed some other voices have been missing too.

It’s not that strange!

There is simply NO single audio voice line in the v42 package.

Before I upgraded to v42 I noticed its smaller size and saved the old pack.
