just because "she" is a "real human" doesn't mean it's not spam. designer babies, while disturbing, has absolutely nothing to do with the elder scrolls. also, who uses an actual photo of themself on a forum? any admins should probably get rid of this "wendy". no offense intended to "wendy", but maybe you should find a forum that is in some way related to your post.
edit: okay, i didn't realise this was in the off-topic section. but still... this is "her" only post. in "her" reply to "I think it's a spam bot or whatever" was "I'm not a spam bot or whatever". classic chat-bot. also, the unnecessary use of emoticons. so, if "she" is not a chat-bot, and is, in fact, a real human, i highly doubt "she" is who "she" says "she" is. mainly because nobody says who they really are on forums. this is why i'm using quotes around gender pronouns...
I agree Meanwhilebacklash, she's way too generic. I still think she's a bot, just more sophisticated than the typical ones we've ran across.
Again, she hasn't brought up anything pertaining to the Elder Scrollls games, let alone this mod. So yeah, she's a bot. If she starts talking Morrowind or Oblivion, I'll eat my words :D

So what exactly is a spam bot and what would the purpose of one be? Obviously a link to a website would be a form of advertising... Is that the only reason a spam bot would do what they do? And do they do anything other than post links to other sites?
What's the Turing Test? How does our spam filter work? (Oh, that's the one that does the picture of a word that we have to type right?) Oh, and what's a chat-bot? I hope I'm not a chat-bot, lol (On no! Unneccessary emoticon use!)

The photo also looks much more fake than Dark South's Doctor Who. (Oh Drat, that IS Doctor Who, isn't it?), so I don't think that's actually wendy we're looking at. (Though I can assure you with total confidence that my picture really is the hand of the Ninja Assassin Crossword puzzle solver.)
Whether real or not, Wendyp has definitly given some conversation and happyness to this forum. And hopefully I'm gonna get some learning out of this too. For that, we thank her.

also, some people make spam bots purely for the fun of it. generic photos of random people are easily found and exploited.
i suggest you check out the A.L.I.C.E. project. it's a chat-bot that, at one point, passed the turing test.

yeah, the bots are getting pretty sophisticated. it's not beyond the realm of possibility that they can even defend themselves when called out. of course, if this was a real person, they are completely alienated now!

Regularly uses the same email and username combos, same IP, and a reverse image lookup in TinEye found that this spammer had used that avatar before to spam other sites with weird links.
