CTD: Dwemer Bridge Outside Fort Moonmoth

Submitted by Paige V on

Looked up the issue (sorry if I seem to be wasting people's time, by the way, with some of my dumb posts. :p ) I'll try to pin down what dumb creature or whatever-it-is that's causing my crashes, but I'm no expert when it comes to anything but playing this game, so I don't expect I'll be able to. (and yes, if I can't, I'll wait the three days and see if things work again.)

I'm having the same issue that some other people have had-  Crashes going out of Balmora and in the area in general near Fort Moonmoth. When I head out over the small bridge just outside of Balmora's entrence, I crash right about in the middle of the darn thing.

I am still getting a CTD heading to or from Fort Moonmoth in any direction,I am using the latest version 042.

Tried starting in Suran and walking along the north shore of the lake collecting flowers for an early Mages Guild task, but can`t get the full distance to Balmora with a CTD near Fort Moonmoth from any direction.

Everywhere else in the morroblivion world is ok.

I am having the exact same problem but Ive only gotten to the bridge one time before it crashed normally its when the map marker pops up. Also I did a test to see if it was cause I was running, nope cause I can run non stop north until I get a ton of monsters on me and then it crashes from that. Its causing me not to be able to do the main quest at all, I turned everything down to low even and STILL it crashes, I hope someone can find a fix to this very soon Im using V.042

Alright I downloaded the Purge Cell Buffer Mod [  http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9139  ] and it didnt work for me at all, is there maybe something else I can do to fix this issue?

I solved this (at least mostly) by creating a copy of the ob_morrowind.esm, renaming it ob_morrowind.esp, and placing it at the top of the esp load order.  Leave the ob_morrowind.esm active; in effect, you have two identical files (one and .esm, one an .esp) active that the same time.

This shouldn't work, but it does for me.  I have no more than the standard level of Oblivion crashes.

Alright I did a console fix on this with these

coc <ArkngthandVSHallSofSCentrifuge>

to get out use[ coe <-5,-5> to get to Balmora ]

and got inside of the Ruins to get the puzzle box, but where I did this quest on an older version/mod it screwed up and there was no puzzle box SO THEN I made a small dirty mod and put the puzzle box in town and turned it in cause I was sick of screwing with it and wanted to continue with it anyway, So Id say problem solved...for me atleast
