Floating Trees

Submitted by Turgon on

Hello my friends. I got this little problem. I installed v046, and the Mod Pack for 046 that have the tree replacer. But there are lots of trees (a specific model) that is not in the ground, they are floating. So there are so many trees floating around there. Im sure I followed the proper install order, and I can see not all the trees are floagint, just that specific model type. If there is a solution, or something I done wrong I will appreciate the help. Thank you :)

Man, the only thing I can think of is make sure your load order is right. In the meantime, hang tight, I'm sure Eloth or Hashmi will get back with you.

More information please!

  • What trees? Or at least, what area of the game?  Trees in Seyda Neen or in Gnisis or where?
  • Do you have the tree replacer very last in your load order? (try it if it's not)
  • Do you have Shivering Isles installed? (you should)

Trees in all the road from Vivec to Gnisis. I will try to see what is the name of the specific model. I dont mean to upset yoy my friends, I can even try to fix it myself, but I dont really know where to begin .

I got the replacer in the lasts places but Ill try to move it to the very last one. And yes I have Shivering Isles.

Well my friend, I tested putting it in the last loading order and same thing. I opened the CS loading just Oblivion, Morroblivion and the tree replacer and they are out of place there too. I take a screenshot so you can see waht the models are.

Is there any way I can put them down at one time, or I should try one by one? That is my question at all hehe. Thank you in advance and sorry if I upset you.

"Dementia Tree", sounds like it could be a problem with Eloth's Tree Replacer since he did use trees from Shivering Isles. I have his mod installed, but not via the mod pack method.

PM Eloth and tell him your situation.

I will have to check my installation when I get back from my work-related travels and see if I messed up something when building the mod pack.

Is anyone else having this problem, or is it only people using my mod pack?

If it helps you in some way, I tried reinstalling the separated mod, overwritting the pack one, and the problem persist. In the separate mod thread, there is someone having the same problem, so it may be a specific conflict? If there is no solution, I can try to ground all trees manually. But It will take a long time I think .

I pmed  Eloth , I hope he read the message. But If there is nothing but a random bug well, I will try to manually lie down the trees to the ground. It will be a long work thou heh.

Hopefully just the one base item that is the tree can be fixed...

Then I will start. When Im done I will report It, and if someone got the same problem I will send the plug in

OK yeah I did confirm this error.  There are several in and around the town of Khuul.  However, there are several trees of the same model that are planted firmly in the ground as well.

One way to do it quicker might be to just make all trees of that type taller by making the length longer in the CS,then hopefully those that hover might be in the ground.

But those that are already in the ground would then be sunk deeper, hopefully not by much though.

So the question is what is causing this? I send a PM to Eloth, I hope he get it. If we can track the origin, we may try to fix it. I find that put down tree by tree is TOO hard thou..

Yeah Turgon, I wouldn't even try that. That would take way too long. Have you tried installing Morroblivion and the mods manually? There's probably something wrong with how the Morroblivion Mod Pack was assembled.

this is not a bug, the morroblivion conversion process is to blame for this, nothing i could do to prevent it from happening,

so the rest of the trees has to be grounded. Good news is that its only a couple of hundred trees :P

Thanks for the answer Eloth ! So now that I know I do nothing wrong, I can live with that! Hope in some conversion the trees can be ground .

And yes, Its quite impossible to do it manually.

Turgon,

Could we do this by region, that way if a few guys do separate regions it should quicken it up a bit.?

I will start on the regions in the SW of the map.

I like the idea. I may start in the north, we say, khuul and gnisis. I hope the trees dont change in further conversions . I will start tomorrow then!
