Recent Steam sales and this project made me purchase both Morrowind and Oblivion. I plan to start with Morrowind using this mod first. When finished, can I start Oblivion with my Morrowind character, or would I even want to?

Starting out the game with a bunch of mods installed may be intimidating but it is soooo worth it. For Morrowind, the most important mods are probably graphics updates. For Oblivion, there are a ton of great mods that make gameplay sooo much better. I have posted my Oblivion mod list for the basics.
However, if you have never played any Elder scrolls games AT ALL, I would recommend playing Morrowind by itself in its original engine, with a serious overhaul like Morrowind Graphics Overhaul or Morrowind 2011 or follow a modding guide, before you install Morroblivion to play it in Oblivion's engine.

I really don't see myself playing thru the story twice right now, but I will definately check it out in its original engine at some point. I like the idea of both games using the same engine.
