@Thermador
That would be the only rap I'd listen to :D
But seriously, could you ever imagine a Morrowind Dunmer doing rap or even soft rock? I could only imagine them doing some crazy metal, probably headbanging with a Daedric guitar or something. And yes, the vocals would have to be the metal growls or screams. It suits them perfectly. I could never imagine Jiub singing clean vocals. Heck, he can't even talk clean vocals ;)
here's a track i made using the sound files from morrowind...

thanks
it's not quite dubstep. i would call it industrial, though. here's a direct link to the download: http://soundcloud.com/surgery-games/mzahnch/download

I do. Also Blugrass, some Rock, most Classical, and BB King's Memphis Blues.
Metal, Rap, and Screaming out of tune hurts my ears ...
*grin*
I would think that Folk music and Story songs would be more appropriate in Morrowind (and morroblivion)
@StephCan't say I like
Can't say I like country, and I haven't listened to too much blugrass, but I do like me some Beethoven and Vivaldi every once in a while, and BB King is just boss.
So do metal, rap, and screaming in tune sound good to your ears? ;)
steph: I would think that Folk music and Story songs would be more appropriate in Morrowind (and morroblivion)
Absolutely agree. I wouldn't want to walk around Morrowind with any other music than Jeremy Soule's Morrowind Soundtrack.
I was more leaning towards what style of music would fit a bad@ss male Dunmer? In other words, if you could imagine yourself actually living in Vvardenfell, and you were invited to a "concert" and only knew that some Dunmer "artists/bands" were playing, what would you guess their type of music to be? Mine would be some type of metalcore or post-metal. Definitely not 80's metal though. Just wouldn't suit them.
But nice musical tastes. I know that metal isn't everyone's cup of tea.
@iceburg333 and meanwhilebacklash
I agree with Meanwhile. It sounds more like industrial. For it to be dubstep, it would have to consist of about 90% bass beats and rhythms.

Well, '80s metal' is a little before my time but I think I would like to hear something like a combination of semi-metal/bluegrass to give it a folksy feeling and let the 'bad***' dunmer go crazy. Remember, even tho VVardenfell looks a little like a Roman conquest and Cyrodiil resembles ancient Rome, it's actually on a distant world. Nirn is a planet that is similar to ancient Earth, but it's also very different. Which is why I think some very unusual music would be right for a Dunmer Band. For some reason the Cantina Band in the original Star Wars movie sounds right to me.

Damn, I must agree with you. That actually sounds like that would work. No arguments from me. :D

Amen bro. Metal incorporates much more than just "screaming" or growls, but for some reason, people who can't get into metal tend to get hung up on the vocals.
About Classical music
About Classical music -
Beethoven is too serious. I can listen, but not for long. Vivaldi is ok, tho. My favorite is Ravel. Debussy influenced Raval a lot. Bach is another 'serious' master. Brahms is nice for quiet times.
My DeBussy favorite is La Mer (Play of the Waves).

That makes perfect sense to me. Beethoven's style almost seems like a precursor to metal music, which is why I like his music. It's dark and heavy like metal. Especially his 5th Symphony.
Vivaldi is ok, tho.
Yeah, everyone thinks of the "Spring" movement of his Four Seasons piece, which is what you hear in like elevators and fancy expensive parties, but I really like his Fall and Winter movements, which pretty much no one knows.
Bach is another 'serious' master. Brahms is nice for quiet times.
The three B's are boss: Bach, Brahms, Beethoven. I had some Bach on my iPod, but I can't remember any good distinct pieces from him right now. Same with Brahms. I'm not going to lie though, I haven't been listening to a whole lot of classial lately. Really have been digging this Tel Fyr band lately.
My DeBussy favorite is La Mer (Play of the Waves).
Listened to it. I guess I'm going to have to listen it to a few more times to see if it grows on me.
On the blugrass thing though. It was funny. I asked my coworker today what the heck blugrass was. I've always heard of blugrass, but never knew how to recognize it. She told me it sounds like the theme song off The Beverly Hillbillies, and I was like ok, I guess blugrass is boss then :P
But to y'all who don't like metal: try listening the song "Seyda Neen" by these guys. It's a pretty awesome instrumental piece, which doesn't have any (screamed) vocals.
My favorite from these guys though so far is the first one. At least listen up to half of the song where he talks about going to see Divayth Fyr in his tower to heal his corpus disease.
Blugrass has to grow on you.
Blugrass has to grow on you. It's really folk music with a 'down-home' country band, guitars, and banjos. Bill Munroe was the best Blugrass musician ever. The song "Dueling Banjos" from 'Deliverance' is Bluegrass style.
Ravel can be stimulating. He is for me, anyway.

I'll listen to the Tel Fyr band if I can find them. At the first scream I'll run away, tho ...

I almost liked the religious one. Tel Fyr is a little too .. too .. well .. much. I'm just a country girl. I can'r seem to get into that kind of music.

Creedance is a very old band. Waay before my time.
I like Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, Juice Newton; Alabama; Hank Williams, Jr.; Gary Allan; Shania Twain; Brooks & Dunn; Faith Hill, and a few of the older artists.
And a few of the old Willie Nelson songs.

I can't find the music, but from what I read here, most of you aren't much into BM ;)
Anyway, as a black metal vocalist myself, I'd say this Sadrith Mora business looks bad; all the classical symptoms of a shitty deeper-than-underground band. Still fun to know, though.
