I thought this was a well written review for Morroblivion. There's a written review and a YouTube video review. Enjoy!
Yeah, I thought it was a

and there's a few of us that enjoy playing both games .. I tend to load and play Morrowind about as often as Oblivion. Both are great games.

Steph- I agree. I struggle to rank Oblivion over Skyrim (I can't decide which I'll like more in 10 years). But I liked them both better than morrowind. At the same time- Morrowind's sheer magic mystery quality just can't be beat. They each have strengths and weaknesses and all three are awesome games.
Eh, Morrowind vs Oblivion vs
really helpful review, im
really helpful review, im contemplating Morroblivion to get the use of Oblivions combat system and menu/dialoue layout, I started off with Oblivion first, but wanted to now try Morrowind after hearing about the Morrowind Overhaul 2.0 which does look amazing, but the game mechanics still feel messed up since the last time i tried it wearing the ugly stick
but im also curious why the landscape screenshots of Morroblivion and Overhaul 2.0 look so different, get the slight impression Morroblivion doesnt have as rich an atmosphere. So does Morroblivion have lanscape overhauls to restore some of the same vibe, like the tropical trees all over the place? thats more of a retorical question, ill look around and see what i see
you've got to remember that
you've got to remember that morrowind is a decade old now, and such is the fact that even if the lands were brought into skyrim, theres only so much texturing can do to bring it up to speed with the rest of the game. Vvardenfell itself is very "alien" compared to the beauty of say Cyrodiil anyway so is bound to have a different atmosphere.
Also, some of the Morrowind
Also, some of the Morrowind Overhaul mods add a ton of content --- especially trees --- that weren't in the original game.
In some ways, Morroblivion is actually a more accurate depiction of the original.

good to know about the overhauls. Havent installed Morrowblivion yet, just getting familar with moding Oblivion all over but definately gonna see if it works
So by more accurate, assume you mean the same way 'Better Cities' looks more accurate than the vanilla cities. I allways thought that mod was how the game was intended to look but never realized for whatever reason
Better cities is brilliant,
Better cities is brilliant, the original game wasn't released like this though because of higher spec demands. A developer has to try to target as much of the game market as possible because it will get more people playing which gives them a higher profit boost. Of course, they can do this because they allow their games to be so widely modded they know someone somewhere will improve their games, it's a good business model that i wish other companies (like Bioware) would follow.
Of course with Skyrim you're gonna need a pretty good spec PC anyway :)
The Morrowind Overhaul or Morroblivion is down to personal taste, i love the Morrowind Overhaul but also love Morroblivion aswell, if you want the full game then the Morrowind Overhaul would be the way to go but if you don't mind just the Morrowind quests (not the expansions) then i would definately recommend Morroblivion. Once you're bored of Cyrodiil you can jump into Vvardenfell & vice versa there really is no better Oblivion mod out there.
