Chitin Weapons | Morroblivion

This is my topic for the chitin weapons, i will upload here pictures and other stuff related to chitin weapons. I started all over again on the chitin star with new texture and mesh from scratch: this was before: [External image][External image] this was the first attempt for the originall mesh: [External image] and this is with new mesh: [External image][External image] and i was thinking a bit about unique weapons, maybe using something similar: [External image]

WOW I'm loving those textures. Keep up the good work. ^O^ And yeahhh, unique weapons would be super. Maybe like a high tech type ninja star with revolving arrow thingies. Like that last silver one you have theree. If you have an msn please tell me cuz I'd like to see those textures in morroblivion.

So, the Ashlanders make the Chitin weapons from giant insects, i guess the chitin star would be made from a bug shell but more complex weapons would be made from whole parts of insects. like this 3D mantis i found free on the internet: [External image] the insect parts are perfect for making a spear: [External image] the upper one is made from the mantis (the texture is generic, it will have one of is one) and the lower one is the originall mesh with improved texture [External image][External image] let me know what you think about using this techique and as an addon to chitin improvement we could add in the game a book explaining how ashlanders make the chitin weapons or a smith specialized in chitin weapons.

star, unique star and spear uploaded

You can get the modells and textures from this link: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27092 The mod replaces all chitin spears and chitin stars in morroblivion I allso made an .esp that places the weapons on the ground in front of the Temple in Balmora, tipe in console "coc BalmoraVSTemple" to fast travel. I dont have any CS skills and I don't know how to make the unique star for sale or loot, the icons don't have transparancy i dont know how to fix them... anybody? This is just a test mod, when i'l finish the other weapons i will update the mod. It requires Morroblivion to work... i think please send feedback on bugs or any constructive criticism EDIT: this is my first mod for Oblivion

personal opinion about the shortsword , its too dark :S a little more " light " and ill be great. ro something about the edge of the sword that makes it look like a wooden stick :S i think sorry if u take it the wrong way its not like that at all its only an opinion

That looks good, a little bevel on the edge of the blade and some fade in the skin would help. It looks like it would go great with that chitin armor mod you showed me though. :):):):):):)

Mod update

I updated the mod to version 0.2 http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27092 I included the Chitin Shortsword I fixed the icons, now with tranparancy One bug though and i have no ideea what's causing it The spear and the star are ok but the shortsword and the unique star when viewed in menu mode they appear behind the caracter like a shadow, anybody knows what's wrong?

AWSOME tha sword was excelent , why dont u go and make some longsword , or claws ( like tha diablo 2 claws or wolverine claws something like that ) to add to the arsenal or any wepons that u can make , arrows and bows.... i think im asking a lot lol im starting today to learn everything and give you a hand man :) if u want to add me to your msn so we can talk it ill be great

Simple, there are no ashlanders in Oblivion so no ashlander weapon

I'm trying to remake the Morrowind weapons, not Diablo I've found some free to use Resources: http://www.shsforums.net/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=727# They look a lot better than what i'm doing and the are complete armour, weapons. The armour is one piece(cuirass, graves etc.) so if we are gonna use this i will split it to separate modells. i know but it'll be great to add weapons that fill the world , i don't think that ashlanders were so narrow minded and make 3 kind of weapons only :S is there a list on all chitin items on morrowind ? and the ones that are alredy done in oblivion ?
