Mouse problem

Submitted by ironman12345 on

When I play morroblivion in Oblivion it is great, but if I just play the original morrowind my mouse does not move my character properly in interiors.

It works fine outdoors though.

I use mwse and the morrowind fps optomizer and have messed with my mouse setting in winXP but it still don`t work.

I use a USB mouse and a USB keyboard.

Any suggestion.?

Ironman, I have no idea! What the heck? That's a really weird issue.

Just a few suggestions ..

you might clean the mouse
or adjust mouse sensitivity in morrowind and maybe windows
or get the latest mouse driver from whoever made your mouse and install it
or just reinstall the existing mouse driver

most likely the mouse adjustments in morrowind need tweaked. Load the game and play with the mouse adjustments.

last .. some mod you've installed might be messing with the mouse.  Try disabling your mods to see if anything is different.

Thanks steph,

I have reinstalled morrowind but have not tried it yet,but I think that my USB mouse might be clashing with my USB keyboard somehow, will try a PS2 mouse.

Problem solved, but I don`t like the result as it was the Morrowind FPS octimizer that was causing it.

I stopped using it and my USB mouse now works fine.

But now I can`t set the FOV wider unless there is a morrowind.ini line to do it.?

There is a werewolf FOV setting but I don`t see any way to set the normal view.

But as I can use morroblivion instead,I quess it ain`t a big deal.:)

I think the only way to change fov is with Morrowind FPS octimizer. There's no ini setting that will allow it otherwise. You migt try a wired mouse -
(soo 20th century) ..

USB is wired steph,it just plugs into a USB port instead of the usual PS2 port.

I don`t use wireless for anything as it is too unstable in my opion.

Will try using the fps octimizer again but this time will uncheck all sections that apply to the mouse.

All I need is the FOV and distant load setting anyway.

Thanks for your ideas.
