Game crashing

Submitted by LeoWarrior14 on

Ok, fairly certain this is in the right section this time.

Morroblivion keeps crashing. I can run it for only a couple of minutes before it crashes, this is persistant, it keeps happening. It was working before but now the crashing has started.

Distant lands in turned off but other than that I don't really know what to do. Anyone have advice?

Are you running when it crashes,?.And does it crash with a MS error message to the desktop,or just crash back to the destop with no error messages.?

Can you be a bit more specific?

- Where are you in the game? Exterior/Interior?

- What stage of the game are you up to?

* Is it a specific area that you're crashing in? Or can you keep playing for a few minutes... SAVE then crash and repeat and still progress?

- Also maybe even system specs?

I myself on a playthough of Morroblivion had several crash issues and found somewhat crude/odd solutions myself to several crashes so I might be able to help

Well, im always in the exterior, it crashes with an error message (Oblivion.exe has stopped working...etc)

I've just been assaulted by a dark brotherhood member in game, and i'm on the third main quest mission where you talk to the orc.

The game works perfectly fine before crashing within 3-5 minutes of me opening it. There seems to be no pattern as to WHERE the game crashes.

Wild guess but since I run oblivion on steam, morroblivion started crashing while I had some games installing, no idea if theres a connection but it started crashing pretty much as soon as those games started downloading.

How much RAM do you have? If it's > 2Gb do you have 4Gb patch applied to Oblivion?

I have 4G of ram. And I don't think I have the patch. I'll look into it

Crashing has stopped. I don't know why but I'm not complaining. Thanks for the help though. I'll update you if it begins again.
