Need Armor-Related Help...

I feel kind of wrong posting this here since it isn't about Morroblivion at all...though it is about Morrowind to Oblivion so that almost works...

Anyway, I've recently been working on a truly insane project (Personal ONLY! Never To Be Released Anywhere!) A giant museum complex to finally display everything cool and interesting I find during my hopefully final playthrough of Oblivion. I even went as far as to get the Kyoma Journal mod so I could write about my 'exhibits'.

I was working on the building of the Museum and realized that adding a painting gallery would be rather cool which led to me downloading every painting mod I could find...including the ones from the Morrowind Nexus. Managed to figure out how to get the paintings to show up in the CS with only a small bit of work.

Then my mind went a step further and realized that there were other cool Morrowind mods that could be interesting additions to my Museum...So now I have a number of Morrowind weapon/armor mods (I repeat, MODS! Things Made By The Players) and have yet to figure out how to add these things in as static items that I can put on display.

Closest I have gotten is getting a cuirass to show up fully in the CS (except the selection box was a bit above the armor) but when I moved and rotated the camera to make sure it all looked right the cuirass vanished for a reason I don't know...

Hoping someone here will have some advice on how to pull this off since I'm sure it's possible considering how close I've gotten. And apologies for the long post, felt that the entire story was needed and that the most important points (Personal Project and Mods) were easily seen.

Tech wise I've managed to figure out the basics of Nifskope and Blender but anything beyond the basics will need to be explained really well...

Basically you need to import

Basically you need to import your Morrowind mesh in Blender (leave the settings to default), and then re-export it as Oblivion mesh (again, default settings will do).
Then open new exported mesh in NifSkope and delete all NiSkinInstance-es under NiTriStrips blocks, and then delete skeleton nodes which are unneeded now (you can do this quickly with Spells->Optinize->Remove Bogus Nodes)
Also, you'll need to tweak texture paths - they are in NiSourceTexture under NiTexturingProperty
After that you can save the mesh and test it. If it works all that left is to create collision.

You need to craete collision

You need to craete collision in blender. This step may vary depending on the geometry of your mesh and how precise you want collision to be.

In general, you create a new object that roughly matches the shape of the mesh and then change its settings to this.

On export you'll need to select "Static" and choose material under "Collision Options" (upper right corner).
