"Wtf missing meshes" problem

ive been getting the "wtf im missing meshes" error and when i install vi it gives me a gient yellow exclamation point instead but its only for guards armor and some misc items what do i do? ok i figured out what the armor is its imperial prison curiass and the whole imperial armor set.

I have the same issue, except

I have the same issue, except it only happens with a few Cyrodil guards. I think it has something to do with their torches though, because all the guards that have the box walk around like they're carrying a torch but nothing is in their hand.

Actually, now that I think about it I don't think this problem existed until I disabled all of my mods so I could use the Daedric Sanctuary amulet and get the Daedric Crescent.

Is reinstallation the only fix to this problem or is it possible to replace the missing mesh?

All NPC's appear yellow cubes and exclation marks
