Combine TotalTamriel and Morroblivion

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Hi, I just love Morroblivion and really enjoy playing it. Recently Total Tamriel was released, a mod that generates landscape (and landscape only) for various Regions of Tamriel, e.g. Morrowind. I was wondering wether it was possible to combine this mod with Morroblivion. You would have to write a script placing the Morroblivion map (with houses, creatures, objects etc.) into the Tamriel-Worldspace. Players could walk from Cyrodiil to Morrowind without any Teleporter or such. The numbers of cells in Vvarenfell would have to match. Any good scripter avaiable? Is it really necessary to 'combine' the two mods? Surely, as Beth won't support Morroblivion, this TT mod is the 'legit' way to get to Vvardenfell. I mean... I'm weary ov German mods, as I once installed a German mod onto my Oblivion and I must have done it wrong as most ov the in-game menus were translated. Have you played TT? Does it work? Is it all in German, or does it not really require translating? Right now, my heart skips a beat whenever I think ov Morroblivion. I downloaded the Visual Pack for Morrowind and included it in the conversion, so on my machine, Vvardenfell looks about as good as stock Oblivion. I'm absolutely thrilled with it being exactly as I remember and want it to be, so I'm not really looking to use a different mod at all- unless it's a lot better. However, I'm not willing to test it, I've just got my character exactly how I want him to be. Updates on this would be very interesting indeed, if anyone does feel compelled to test it, drop me a line? Please?

Still wouldn't be legit, though, if you still used TT with Morrowind resources (sound, meshes, textures, etc). However, if we just replaced all those resource with oblivion resources or modder's resources, Morroblivion could be legit even without Total tamriel. I guess I'm just not following. :\

I think the point of combining them would not be for the sake of legitimacy, but instead for the allowed ability to walk from Cyrodiil to Morrowind freely. This could open up SO many doors, it makes my brain hurt. I think it is a great idea, if at all possible.

well problem is that if we inserted MO into tamrial worldspace,we'd have to build the mainland and we dont know how that looks like :P

Call me crazy, but I seem to recall it being described in both Morrowind and Oblivion. And really, it wouldn't be difficult. Find the areas bordering Morrowind in Cyrodiil and more or less build them out. I recall an official map a while back that showed the cities besides those in Vvardenfell. Obviously the Tribunal would have to be accessible. I think it would be an interesting idea to say the very least, but hopefully some people will take initiative and try using TT to build a full Tamriel mod. It would be really great to have to travel to Morrowind from the Imperial City to pick up, say, Bull Netch hide for a new set of leather armor. Either way, as a mod it doesn't have to perfectly match lore. But there's a lot out there to look at. Take a look at www.uesp.net. They have a lot of information on Lore that can be used to piece it together enough for the uses of a modder.

Kia Ora Tamreil Landscapes was a thread I got into that has done high maps etc to open up Elsweyr and Summerset Isle and with a sailing mod I was able to sail from Anvil to Summset so I started building a bit of a mod there and found by using a remover boards mod and a map one of the gyus had I could see the whole area then I started maping a nice map and managed with use of an esp and base map (a guy had posted on Nexus for us to use) I got Nirn-kate map of the net and scaled that so cryodil was the correct size got a Hammerfell and Elsweyr map (got pointed to an Elven version) and used the Elevn version of Cyrodil place sized and cleaned etc to make a Tamreil world map. With use of a supplied esp (don't know how it works) I got the icon/travel markers in the crrect place,. then I found you guys and I installed this and found a Vvardenfell.dds map came with it so I took aa area of my World map and sized it to suit the map you guys had with the install pushed it about till Balmora, Seyda Neen and Vivec travel markers lined up and I found Ald'run landed in about the right place so I now have a map for this area. Main point being in my rambling on is that with the use of a boarder removal mod we can run right into the out areas of Tamriel as it is, just need the correct high maps to set it right for building. As I don't know how to scale and shape a map a map so I don't need the esp I have no way to get the World map to fit with the origin game area and still show the top of the map hecne the lost of that part of the world, the world is there at our feet with the know how to fit it to the game original world. what I have done is here for anybody remotely interested: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30875 Ignore or enjoy ( I did make use Artist Licence to it fullest, so it may not suit some)
