Yellow Triangles of Death. Failure to everything

Submitted by Direwolf750 on

Okay, having been a mod user for almost a year now, I finally decided to check Morroblivion out, as I had all requirements. So after installing everything, I tried creating 2 separate OMODs, one for Vardenfel Imports, one for the Morroblivion complete files. After an absurdly long time, both were created, and I tried to play. Upon looking at the boat in Anvil, I found a distinct lack of boat, a large number of yellow triangles, and a person floating in the water with no hair, arms, torso or legs. I tried ignoring this and forging on ahead. No such luck, same deal with Seyda Neen, and Ebonheart just crashes. I thought I might have missed something, so I tried installing everything again. No such luck, exact same problem. I used BOSS to manage my load order, so I don't think that that is the problem, but I am at a loss. Do the OMOD versions just not work at all? If so, do I/should I learn how to use BAIN?

I've been trying to get this to work for 8 hours, so I'm a little drained. Sorry if anything is incoherent.

2 questions we always ask:

1-Did you look to your load order? Morrowind_ob.esm should load exactly after Oblivion.esm.

2-Are you using Windows 7 and installed Oblivion to Program Files folder?

Unless you are a master of making omods, you should probably install withbash/Bain. There is a lot of information on the FAQ page and installation page about how to do this.

I had this problem too, but that was because i only downloaded the Vvardenfel Imports from the nexus ;p
it will be fixed if you download it from the "Mirrors" tab :) and then update it with the patches from nexus

sorry that my english is kinda bad...

Yes, it was directly after oblivion, and yes, I do run 7 but oblivion is installed in Program Files folder. One way or another, I doubt that is the issue, as I disabled User Access Control because it was getting in my way anyways, which is what that has a problem with.

Then it has to be an instaallation issue. It works fine with evryone else.

okay, after installing everything using bash installers, I now have the boat and seyda neen actually exist, but every person has missing meshes all over them

Or, you could just copy/paste the files from the archive to your Oblivion\Data directory :) That's what I do. I never use installers of any kind.

You have not installed everything properly or completely. Follow the Installation guide and make sure that you have Everything Dowloaded and Installed.

I'm the getting the same problem, I installed everything correctly, Is Vvardenfell Imports a main reason for this happening?

To get it all working [you can add mods to it later],download the lastest master file [v054],then download and install thermadors big 2.5GB file.

Install the master first and check that there is a morrowind_ob.esm in your Data folder.

Then just copy and paste the files in the big download to the Data folder.

You should also install OBSE as Elys Silent Voice uses it and if you don`t use it text in morroblivion will not stay on screen long.

Also make sure the the texture size in the Oblivion graphics Options is set to "Large".

GL.

Note:-Vvardenfell Imports is included in the big 2.5GB file.
