Figured I'd let you guys know you've got another player around. My apologies in advance if this gets long...
I bumbled in here some time last year, I think, and mourned the fact that I'd just beaten Morrowind on my laptop, but Oblivion on my PS3. It took about a month or so - shamefully long - for me to remember that dad had played on PC. I managed to borrow his copy, but my glitchy CD drive refused. There was no replacing it without significant trouble. All my attempts at repair and workaround came to nothing. I couldn't install. I gave up and went back to Skyrim on my PS3.
Finally, a little over a week ago, the laptop itself started to die. Since college is about to start back up and the laptop was rather old, my parents graciously allowed me a new one as this year's birthday present. This laptop has a working CD drive, decent specs, and is now running Morroblivion. I'd offer myself up as a tester - sadly, I lack modding experience - but I'm not sure how hard this semester will hit me. I may be back to get involved, but if not, I at least wanted to say this.
Usually, I would run off on my own now - maybe lurk around a bit, keep up, but certainly not register or post. Last night, though, when I finished set-up and started running around Morrowind to test performance and stability, I was called a filthy s'wit and got a very strange feeling. I'd call it patriotic, but it was subtler than that. There's a part of me that's incredibly pleased to be surrounded by hostile dunmer again. Apparently, as far as Tamriel goes, Morrowind is home. I'd never realized that before.
So... yeah. My thanks goes out to everyone involved. You guys got me home again, in a way, and I can hardly wait to do all the little things I never did for lack of minor quest organization.
Much love.

:D
I agree with you, 100% Are you looking forward to Skywind?
