Alternate download link

Submitted by Goblinator on

Can I have an alternate download link that's not Google Docs? The problem is that I can't resume downloads with it, and my internet is not stable at all to download 2.5 gb on a single go.

Heck, I just downloaded 800 mb, but then Chrome returned me an error saying that the network's took too long and interrupted my download.

And no, I can't get better internet even if I wanted to, because there's only one ISP in the country, and I have the maximum speed that this ISP can offer anyway.

I'd really appreciate it (and I'm sure plenty others will) if I could get an alternate link that supports resuming. A torrent file for example would actually be perfect.

Thanks.

It is not the speed that is the problem,it is Chrome giving you the error,I do not think we can offer another link, but try IE,it should work then. But it will still take a while.

My isp resets the connection quite frequently (to deal with overload on their server), and like I said, it's just not stable. At least if no other links other than google docs can be offered, why not offer it in parts? The file is already in a zip, so it should be easy to split it in let's say... 5 parts, with 500 mb each. That's much more digestable than the full 2.5 gb in one go. I'd really be grateful if someone could do that.

Same problem. My internet is really unreliable. I've tried to download it several times, most I got to before some error like, "Unknown Network Error" was about 1GB. It's fairly rare for me to have problems downloading stuff this size(I'd get errors sometimes, but I've never had to try more than twice), but the fact that my internet is unreliable hardly helps.
