Morroblivion on the 360?

Submitted by dandistorted on

Is it possible? I know with morrowind, I packed a bunch of mods together burnt them onto a disc and POW, morrowind with better heads, better bodies, graphics overhaul, and all kinds of nifty stuff on my xbox.

And I know, PC is superior, but this could potentially turn on a whole new crowd to morrowblivion. I don't fully understand why morrowind and oblivion need to be installed for it to work on pc. So if I could get some advice I'd greatly appreciate it :)

To try to answer your last question first, morrowind and it`s addons Tribunal & Bloodmoon have to be installed as the morroblivion installer checks for them for copyright reasons.

The same applys to Oblvion & Shivering Isles, but obviously Oblivion needs to be installed because morroblivion is an Oblivion mod.

I do not think that would work for the xbox, but others might know better.

Morroblivion is essentially just an Oblivion mod, so if you know how to run Oblivion mods on Xbox, you should be able to run Morroblivion as well.

The question is why would you want to do that? :)

It shouldn't be hard to pack together and burn to a dual layer dvd. The thing that I'm wondering about is distribution. There's no way to verify if people have morrowind and oblivion so I guess it would probably be illegal or something.

As for why, I'm deployed. My laptop works well enough to run new games on medium settings, but I'd rather not spend hours and hours playing on my laptop when I can play on my 360. 360=300 bucks, computer=1300 bucks. Plus, my xbox is just sitting here rotting and I feel like a negligent parent. Needs to get SOME use before Halo 4 comes!

But if we could figure out the distribution, morroblivion could get some more well deserved attention. But HOW to figure out if people own the two...

Well, Morroblivion is very resource intensive, so I think it would kill your Xbox. The Xbox is like an ancient, shitty PC.

It's possible, but there are all sorts of problems like no textures in a lot of places so textures would need to be converted to a format the xbox can understand. Also there are model problems with missing heads and the like. Whether an xbox 360 could run stable i really would doubt it.
