Tried to download Morrowind_ob.esm Master File Installer but MediaFire says its invalid or deleted... Help!

Submitted by iMaCuLaTe on

Hey guys, right away I'd like to apologize if this has been answered 100 times but I'm brand new and I literally just signed up like 10 minutes ago.

I downloaded the pre-requists for the Morroblivion mod but when I tried to download the "master file" MediaFire said its deleted or something. Do any of you perhaps have a mirrior or a magnet link so I can download the file? I would really like to play this mod but I'm basically stuck at this point. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Okay, so I read the "details" part and there seems to be a bunch of files that you have to download for the "master file" but I noticed step 4 says "Download as one big file" Is step 4 basically steps 2 and 3 combined or do I need all those files from step 2 AND the file from step 4? A little confused :/

were you trying to download the v054 master file installer from the complete installation thread? that one doesnt work for me either, but theres a v055 master file installer you can download from the project release thread that works

thermador is away on vacation, and has not updated the complete install yet.

But as stated you can download v055 [the latest master] from the project release thread, but don`t forget to download the Morroblivion Additional Support Files 2 file as that is needed.

After installing the master and  Morroblivion Additional Support Files 2,just install the big 2GB download.

It should all work then.

thanks for the quick response guys. well, I'm currently downloading the complete installation packs 1-3 as well as the support files and a couple of other recommended files.

However, I have a doubt now. In the readme for the master file says "Vvardenfell Imports is CRITICAL to Morroblivion"

So I followed those steps and started to download that mod because aparantly it's really important. But in the instructions it says this...

Detailed Instructions by Thermador on Installation of Vvardenfell Imports:

        Go to this link: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28245
            Go to "files" tab:
                - Download Vvardenfell Imports Part 3
                - Download Vvardenfell Imports Patch 1
                - Download Vvardenfell Imports Patch 2
            Go to "mirrors" tab:
                - Download Vvardenfell Imports Part 1
                - Download Vvardenfell Imports Part 2

When I try to get the files from the mirrors tab it brings me to some completely unrelated (i think) mods that aren't the ones specified. One of them is some kind of rideable slaughterfish and the other one is about music or something. I'm guessing that I will have to skip the Vvardenfell imports part no? I mean, is it really THAT critical?

Also, non-mod related question. Are there hop toad rings in Morrobilivion?? ^^

I think you need vvardenfell imports. I would recommend downloading the 2.5gb complete installation package from the complete installation thread, and then downloading the v055 master file installer and the morroblivion additional support files 2 from the project release thread. Those 3 downloads should be everything you need, and its probably the easiest way to do it

So far these are all the files I've downloaded. Can you guys take a look and tell me if it looks like I need anything else? Keep in mind that I didn't download Vvardenfell imports seperately. If it's included in one of these zips I wouldn't know. But here is the list...

I think those are all the files that the guide told me to download except for the Vvardenfel thingy but I'm not sure if it's included in one of these zips. Please let me know thanks.

Do what shogunadam has posted.

vvardenfell imports is included in the big 2GB download, and that file and the master is all that you need.

But Elys Silent Voice,obse_20,and the Unofficial Oblivion Patch are a good idea too.

And don`t forget to download the 055 master file, and make sure that it is listed in the load order directly after oblivion.esm.

And also have your texture detail set to "Large" in the oblivion display settings.

The "master file" is the one divided into 3 parts right?

No!.

Master File.

Morroblivion Additional Support Files 2.

Download as one big file -- v054 -- 2.5 GB (7z file)

Instructions: Click the link, click the "Download" button, then "Download anyway".

That is all that you need to do.

Elys Silent Voice,obse_20,and the Unofficial Oblivion Patch are a good idea too.

Download and install all of the above the big file contains all that you need, but you still need to download all three links.

Thanks so much!

Hey man, can I still use OBMM if I want to install texture packs or something like that?

Woops, sorry I made a double post by accident. I guess I might as well take advantage of this post with a couple more questions...

If I were to download a mod such as... deadly reflex or an interface changer (darnified) would it affect both oblivion and morroblivion? Or should I just download wyre mesh or whatever its called?

I've also noticed that under the mods for Morroblivion section you have a lot of texture packs and other things like that. If I wanted to improve the textures would I have to download the mods particularly for Morroblivion or would the Oblivion texture packs also affect Morroblivion?

I realize some of these might sound like dumb questions but I'm brand new here. Gimme a break =)

Any other mods that you would recommend to really improve the experience please let me know. I'm all ears.

Yes you can still use OBMM,in fact it is cool for setting load order etc.

As for the other things, the big download contains all of enhanced textures etc used in morroblivion, but I quess in general all oblvion mods can still be used,as morroblivion is just a big oblivion mod.

Trial and error is the way to go I quess.

Thanks for all the help guys. I have it working now no problem. So far I'd have to say everything is great. Everyone who has contributed has done a fantastic job.

I've only noticed 2 big differences and that is the music and I noticed the subtitles go really fast and it's difficult to read longer dialogues in time. Is there any way to add the original music and fix the dialogue speed?

Also, I'm sure you guys get this questions a lot but how long have you all been working on this project? And is everyone who worked on this project also working on Skywind? How long do mods like this take to be completely (or close) finished? How long do you think it will take for the skywind mod to be as complete as this one?
