The problems I have with it are different, namely, it looks too clean vanilla. Mine looks grittier and more stylized, as the Morrowind Overhaul does.
In reality, bronze and white surfaces glow with sunlight and can be quite bright. Any blurring is from depth of field.
2:37 and 1:31 look especially epic to me. But you can play your game however you want.
The increase in bloom and brightness when it is really sunny are small prices to pay for me, for getting it to approximate the look of the Morrowind Overhaul, which is what I truly desired.
But for comparison, this is what it looks like when it is really sunny outside:

There is a mod for Skyrim which sorta gets rid of too much bloom:
I am not going to try to sway you to my point of view, if collor pallete is the only thing you wanted changed you did a good job.
Color pallete, and the right proportion of SSAO and post-processing, which make all the difference in the world.
That Skyrim lighting isn't realistic to me. Really sunny should be really bright, and dark should be really dark, and there should be all the different gradations in between.

The Morrowind Overhaul, or rather MGE, looks the way it does because of really well done SSAO buffed with effects. Like this:

1:31, 0:18, 0:21 and 1:42 in my video look incredibly similar, which was my goal.
By the way, this luminosity in certain situations which fills a whole portion of the sky, and the bright luminance on whitish and bronze colored surfaces- that isn't bloom, it's HDR, and it seems that is what isn't to your taste.

Hi
main problem with Oblivion render are washed out surfaces, bloom, you still got a them, maybe even increased.
My eyes hurt :S
