Morroblivion Object Replacer

Submitted by Savant on
Well, looks like this forum needs some mod threads. I'll start the ball rolling! http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15112 (it appears attachments aren't available, so this link will have to do) This is my object replacer for Morroblivion. I'm hoping to replace as many Morrowind objects in Morroblivion with similar oblivion objects as possible, by expanding .ini files used by the ESP converter program. So far, it converts most of the following: -armors -weapons -clothes -land textures -rocks -trees -mushrooms -potions -chests -rugs -tapestries -books -apparatus -dinnerware In addition, the mod makes more objects LOD, where appropriate. Requires Morroblivion .98 or higher. Shivering Isles isn't required anymore, but can still enhance the mod. I've posted here to get the suggestions of a wider audience, so don't be shy when commenting. :)

Awesome awesome mod! Thanks so much for this, I can't wait to try it out. The screenshots look absolutely cool. Also, sorry about attachments not being enabled--I'm working on that. They should be working pretty soon I hope.

Awesome mod :) I converted almost all except mushrooms to keep the Morrowind flavour. Shivering ones are nice, but I suppose it's a matter of taste :D

Yeah, I've generally noticed people either love the mushrooms or hate them, but thats the beauty of Morroblivion - its as customizable as the original Morrowind itself.

I gave it a try now all the people are runing around naked I think they had morrowind stuff on and it was replaced and the game cant find the new stuff to give them shop keepers where still dressed? and now Im up to my neck in grass in the center of town. dont no how the grass got there morrowind dident have grass like that LOL But this mod does what its sed it does. To much for me though it doesent look like Morrowind anymore.

Hi again. Just saw the comments. I've heard from other people the NPCs are converted nude occasionally. It seems to happen only on a couple systems, though, and I've never been able to pinpoint an exact cause. I'm open to suggestions. Also, Morrowind was incapable of rendering realistic grass on the computers from back in the day. While replacing objects, I tried to portray what Morrowind would look like if Bethesda recreated it on the Oblivion engine. Of course, some bits and pieces might not be a flawless conversion. What town were you in that had all the grass?

I've also got the naked bug. All the guards wearing oblivion armor are fine as are merchants but all the towns folk are butt naked. Anyone know how to fix? :(

I've found the reason for the nude bug. It's a conflict with a morroblivion mod that edits NPCs in Vvardenfell, most likely its Morroblivion AI. You can either reconvert without the clothing.ini file, or uninstall Morroblivion AI.

hi, is anyone working on this mod or is there a new version of it? The morrowind weapons are pretty annoying... I know how to modify it, though it's a lot to do

Right now I'm debugging a program that'll extend some of Morroblivion's replacement abilities. There won't be an update until that's done, but afterwards you'll see quite a bit of improvement.

So let me get this straight... in order to have clothed NPCs, I have to uninstall their AI? As of now everyone just walks around naked. Maybe I'll add clothes to them and release it as a mod... hmmmm... Anyways, great mod except for the nude people. Props man. Other than the naked peeps I have only found one other problem: In Balmora there is a huge gaping hole at the edge of town that I can see through to the landscape and water behind it. On this hole are some floating rocks and grass, really really odd looking. Other than that, 10/10 man! I'll probably start working on a mod to clothe all the naked people so that they can still have AI. By the way, is this mod under any more development? I mean, obviously Morroblivion is completed, but is this community still active, and still actively making mods for Morroblivion?

I'll take that as a no...

does this mod include basically the whole game and and quests like 100% of morrowind, bloodmoon, and tribunal?

No it does not :p

Savant is right, if you use mods such as morroblivion AI or morrowind mainquest all the NPCs that are changed will apear naked.

I just want to fix my npcs not having arms and stuff. This mod has more than that. Can someone make one that just fixes the missing arms. That would be really helpful.

This mod is 2 years old and is obsolete. We are currently working on the Morrowind_ob.esm project which has the arms fixed as well as several other stuff like Ash storms, creatures and armors etc. http://morroblivion.com/forums/morroblivion/mods/753
