Getting QUESTION MARK icons since I installed v055

So Installed the latest version of Morroblivion v055 (September Release).  I had Morroblivion installed before (Can't remember version number but was back in March / April 2012).  And it worked pretty without much issues.  Although it would crash here and there.

Now it seems since I installed the latest version I'm getting the following problems

1) It crashes more, sometimes consitently crashing when I walk in Given areas (ie. when approaching near Arkngthand at the first Dwewnar Ruin in the main quest).  But it also does Crash intermiddetely.  Sometimes doing it every 10 minutes.

2) I get these Question Mark Icons.  Which I know from other Mods its some sort of Graphic file that it doesn't know what to reference.

My question revolves around more about fixing item #2.  Since I know item #1 can be a bit more difficult to diagnose.  As it can be intermidditant.  And probably will help if I unload some other Mods.

Any ideas of what can be causing this.  Below are two links in areas where these question Marks icons are displayed (Pictures also attached to this message).  The first one is by Caius Cosades and the second one by Seydna Neen.

Also, are there any fixes for using the Icarian Scroll.  As when I use that scroll and jump the Camera goes all crazy and you can't really control the jump.  But I assume this is a bug everyone experiences and has nothing to do with the install.  That maybe the Oblivion engine isn't programmed by default for such a big jump.

Thanks

Actually sorry I believe it was v055 I downloaded.  That was a typo, since I only downloaded this latest version from the website a week or two ago.

Hi Guys.

Any help you could provide would be appreciated.  I'm a big advocate of Morroblivion and spread the word to all gamers I know.  Which is why I did this review which has gotton allot of views :

But kinda of hard to do so when the experience is muddled (This latest version seems to be crashing on me allot too)

Thanks!

I will try to help but it depends on your install.

In the first pic the bed mesh and/or texture is missing.

In the second pic it`s a plant I think,..! marks mean missing textures or maybe the mesh.

Which install did you use,?, the complete install or the hard way.

It looks like you may have a mod missing that is needed.

The exclamation-point-thingies are a sign of a missing mesh. In the picture it's possibly something from under the bed (the moonsugar or the pipe). I got the same stuff with the lava planes and the gondolas in Vivec.

You could try to look in the CS and find out, which object's mesh is missing and replace it temporarily with something else (that's what I did with the lavaplanes). Why the meshes are sometimes missing I cannot tell, I think it happens when you install it that it misses some nif-files.

For the crashing: As I understand it, the Oblivion-Engine can't handle the awesomeness of Morrowind and therefore is on its limit the whole time :) Except for drastically reducing your graphic settings I don't think you can do much in that field.

Does anyone know where I can downloaded older versions of Morroblivion?

I've tried stripping down all the mods off my Oblivion so Morroblivion was the only mod.  And it still seems like its crashing every 10-15 minutes.  So I think it has something to do with the latest version destabilizing my Oblivion.  The one I downloaded back in March 2012 seems relatively stable and would only crash occassionally.  And was working relatively well (Didnt have those question mark graphics as well)

Anyone know where I can get legacy links of Morroblivion?

There aren't any 'official' uploads of older versions. You can always try googling, but I doubt you'll be able to find the specific version you need.

BTW, if version from March worked for you, the latest version should work too - there weren't any drastic changes that could affect stability.
This, of course, if you installed it correctly and I think you didn't, because of all that missing resources issues you're having. (which are probably also the source of your crashes)

How did you install the first version of Morroblivion you used and how did you update it after?

Hi there.

Thanks for replying!  I don't remember the exact steps that I did in March to install Morroblivion.  But I imagine it was pretty similar to how I did the upgrade.  Which I simply downloaded the installer.  And when you run the installer it ask you for where your Morrowind and Oblivion directory is.  And from there, just put the load order of the Morroblivion as the 2nd mod right after the main Oblivion file (Using Oblivion Mod Manager).

I'm pretty sure my process in March was similar.  The only challenge I think I had back in March was figuring out to put the load order early in the process.

Kind of frustrating since I love playing Morroblivion.  And the upgrade seemed to killed that fun :(

Ninjaking, have you tried reinstaling all of the Morroblivion data files?
Also, which mods did you install between Morroblivion working and not working?
And, a load order would be nice.

The random crashes might be not because of Morroblivion, but because of some other mod.

Hi guys.

I seemed to go it working now.  I just disabled all my mods that I had and re-installed from scratch again.  And that seemed to get it working that I'm not getting those question mark icons anymore.  Most likely I missed a step in the process when I updated.  Didn't see if it was crashing less.  But in 20 minutes of playing and testing it, seemed fine :)

I really appreciate everyone's help and reaching out in getting this fine piece of working up and running again.  So I can continue to spread the gospel of Morroblivion!

On a unrelated side note, does the Icarian Flight Scroll do funny things for other people as well?  Whenever I jump the camera goes all wobbly and i don't seem to jump all that high (Compared to the original Morrowind).  I was hoping this latest update would fix that.  But not sure if has to do with my particular way I set the mod or if everyone experiences that.
