I have been trying to fix this problem for a week. I get to balmora after starting my character, after some time, ill save my game. When i come back to play it later the game crashed when i try to load the game save. Any help would be great.
Have you got the Unofficial
Have you got the Unofficial Oblivion Patch installed,I think it is needed, and also the OBSE.?
Try load order.
Oblivion.esm
Morroblivion_ob.esm
Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp
DLCShiveringIsles.esp
Can`t think of anything else.
Load Order w/ Wrye Bash
Yes indeedy I do, have the patch. Here is the full load order acording to wrye bash.
Oblivion.esm, Morrowind_ob.esm, Morrowind_ob..... .esp/// Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp, DLCShiveringIseles.esp
I still cannot load the previous savegames... are they corrupt? Should I start another character?
Oblivion.esmMorroblivion_ob.e
Oblivion.esm
Morroblivion_ob.esm
Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp
DLCShiveringIsles.esp
Then the _ob.esp`s
Wrye bash is putting the shiveringisles and UOP too low down imo,but I could be wrong.?
Save Game Crashing
Put the load order as you suggested and started a new character. Played for about 45 minutes and saved. Went to load the save and oblivion crashes. I don't understand why it keeps corrupting my saves.
I have tried everything too!
I have tried everything too! lol im bout to give, i have been trying to get this work for over a week now. Any other imput?
Should the load order show up
Should the load order show up correct in the oblivion launcher? Or as long as it shows up correct in wyrebash is that ok?
Are you starting the game
Are you starting the game with the OBSE.?
If not, then it would be a good idea to do so,as lots of the stuff in morroblivion needs to be run that way.
If you use the oblivion launcher only it does not run the script extender [OBSE].
And you need a shortcut icon on your desktop that runs the obse_loader.exe.
If you are doing it that way then please ignore the above.
And you could try using the OBMM`s "archive invalidation" tool or the standalone archive invalidation tool from the nexus.?
archive invalidation
Indeed I have created a shortcut to the obse that is currently in the directory of oblivion, however I have not used the archive invalidation tool. Hmm.. I will try this and see what happens. Thank you for your assistance. I shall report the results of my findings asap.

Tried everything here...
Tried everything here and the game is still losing my savegames. I've made it up to level 8, but the problem just gets worse and worse and I've had to replay the same sequence of quests 3 times over due to borked and unrecoverable saves (quick, auto and Saves all crashing when I try to load them).
Too bad, as I was really enjoying Morroblivion.
I too have the exact same
I too have the exact same issue, some saves will corrupt and crash the game with a memory problem. (Exception Code c0000005)
- Load order is correct (^2)
- Windows 7 64bit
- Steam GOTY Edition
- New game starts normally
Mods loaded:
- Unoffical Oblivion Patch (Will crash with or without)
- Morroblivion Conversation (Never really worked ^1)
- Vvardenfell_Imports + Addon ESP Fix
- Oblivion Citadel Door Fix
- Morroblivion New Map
My only concern is the conversation mod never worked. OBSE says it installed correctly, but the text never paused for 7 seconds. Steam in-game community is loaded as per the instruction but when it installs, but I have no way to confirm it really loads. (Is there a simple way to determine its actually running in game?) My theory is OBSE isn't installing correctly/loading correctly and causing the corruption/failure to load.
^2 Load Order:
- Oblivion
- Morrowind_ob
- Unoffical Oblivion Patch
- Offical DLC
- Morrowind_ob - *
- Morroblivion Conversation
- Vvardenfell_Imports
- MorroblivionNewMap
- Oblivion Citadel Door
- UOP Vampire Aging
- UOPS Additional Changes

I also had the same exact
I also had the same exact problem. After a long period of trial and error. I solved it! For me, it had to do with being a STEAM-user.
I: maximum solution: this while make the error'd savegames ALMOST occur with the zero.
Play the game on offline mode . Just click the steam button(upper left button on the steam UI), and after that tab appeared: click offline play.
Note: when re-entering online mode in steam, your last game playthrough(= all the saves made from starting the game until exiting the game) while probally become error'd.
II: Minium solution: this while make error'd savegames STILL occur alot.
A) Go to your gametab, inside the steam GUI/window. Right click on oblivion> properties > updates > click/untick allowance of steam-sync.
B) Dont use console commands whilst playing in steam online-mode.
Note: Like I said before:"this while make error'd savegames STILL occur alot". But its a semi-solution for those who want to play steam online.. But the savegames will get error'd ALOT. I mean ALOT, but lesser then witouth the tips wroted above. 50/50 of your savegames get error'd this way, to lower this numbers: frequently exit morroblivion complety+ make tons of savegames.
Corrupted savegames
This is a problem I was having too.
Oblivion is notorious for corrupting saves. There are tons and tons of threads on this issue all over the place.
One of the possible causes is detailed here:
Stop overwriting existing save files and avoid using Quicksave. Disabling quicksaves will have a dramatic effect in reducing crashes. Supporting the hypothesis that corrupted saves cause game crashes rather than game crashes corrupt saves, it seems that clicking "new save" everytime will eliminate those pesky "crash on area transition" crashes. Autosave is still ok.
I have found that my incidence of corrupted save files has dropped to zero after turning off Quicksave and Autosave in the game options. I don't overwrite old saves, and I don't keep a ton of saves in my savegame folder.
Another common cause of corrupted saves are mods with bad objects or references (components of the mod, whatever they may be, have some properties that Oblivion doesn't like). Once your character picks up the object/ref or loads a cell with that object/ref in it, the save is corrupt.
There is a possibility that this has happened with Morroblivion, but we would need to figure out what object it is by saving frequently (Streamline may help with that) and trying to figure out when the save corruption STARTS happening and then figure out what the character did just before that - did they add something to thier inventory? What cell did they travel to? What NPC did they talk to? etc.
That said, save game corruption may be caused by another mod you are using and NOT by morroblivion at all.

Hello Thermador.
The issue here is different than just corrupted save files. Unlike corrupted save files, at the loading screen the naming:"corrupted save" doesn't appears. The issue also "behaves" differently, I have came acrose whilst playing vanilla OB the genuine corrupted save file issue. This one, differs.
Like I discribed above, the crashing whilst loading disappeared when I started to play the game in Steam offline mode. After the process of problem resolution seeking: via trial-and-error. I think that Steam's synching and the steam mechanic of achievements(and probally something else), is the provoker of this issue.
Yeah Steam can cause problems
Yeah Steam can cause problems with saves for sure.
But the symptoms I described above don't result in "corrupted saves" messages on the loading screen (in fact, I have never seen this message from Oblivion in all my years of playing). Rather, you just try and load the save and bam! Crash to desktop, sometimes right away, sometimes after the loading bar makes some progress.
This is the behaviour that I think the other poster's are describing - crash on loading of a savegame, which is caused by a corrupted save, even if the game doesn't recognize it.
I have a similar crash when I
I have a similar crash when I installed morroblivion first time. Sometimes Morrowind_ob - UCWUS.esp can confuse the game(if some other mods are installed) . Make a clean save, unequip all magical object, save again and active the mod again fix for me(at least for a while). The behaviour is similar to the issue described here.

ohh, my bad. On my previous playthroughs of vanilla oblivion, the game automaticaly named corrupted saves simply as: corrupted saves. I couldn't load those automaticaly named saves either.
So.. The issue I am (or we are?) facing is just corrupted save files. I see now! :)
The only fix to the game save
The only fix to the game save crash that I have found is to disable the Steam sync option. I have been playing on the same save now for about twelve plus hours and several loads from the same save without problems.
I'm having the exact same
I'm having the exact same problem, and not only am I using OBSE every time I start, I have all the anti crash mods suggested in the Morroblivon FAQ, my load order is exactly as suggested here, and I used a physical copy of Oblivion to install, so I've never even had Oblivion in my Steam library. Fortunately, I got into the habit of saving in multiple files every 10 minutes or so in Bethesda games ever since I first started playing Morrowind years ago to prevent precisely this kind of situation, so it's only be a minor annoyance so far, but I'd like to not have to do that.
How much time you played
How much time you played before the issue? Have you installed the last version of the stutter remover? What is your configuration of the plugin? What is your version of obse? What is the dimension of the savegame? What other mod have you installed?
I'm not sure when the issue
I'm not sure when the issue first started exactly, but my playtime is currently at 36 hours. I just recently installed morroblivion and all the anti crash mods including the stutter remover a few days ago. OBSE is obse_1_2_416, I think that's v0020. As for my configuation and dimension of the savegame, I'm not sure... how do I check that?
Oh, and aside from morroblivion itself, I have:
The unofficial Oblivion patch
Vamp aesthetics
Oblivion citadel door fix
Morroblivion conversation
Morroblivion loading screens
Voice overs v002
UOPS addition changes
Bash patch
Natural environments
Purge cell buffers on cell change
Oblivion stutter remover OSR_4-1-24_RC
OBSE elys silent voice
OBSE Menuque
Oblivion XP
Morroblivion XP
Enchanment restore
Robes over armor
Any of these known to cause issues?

Ok...
Don't know if I should post the ess file or the OBSE file, but the ess files are all around 2500kb, and the OBSE files are around 40kb. The autosaves are about the same. I have 4 manual save files and 1 autosave file.
Here's the Stutter remover.ini file:

I don't have the universal cast when used system, I would have listed it in my last post if I did. I haven't checked to see if the save would load without any mods, next time it starts happening I will. Should I put universal cast in or is it a possible cause of the issue?
I'll rebuild the bash patch after these other possibilities are dealt with if they don't fix it.
Fixed crushing saves problem
Hey,
Yesterday I've encountered the same problem, where the quicksave and autosave would crush as I tried to load the game. Here is how I fixed it:
In the Morroblivion/Oblivion/Morrowind (depends what you called it) folder I launched Wrye Bash.exe
Under "Mods" I unclicked everything, except: Oblivion.esm Morrowind_ob.esm Unofficial Oblivion Batch.esp
Then I launched the game and loaded the saves that crushed before.
They loaded and a massage appeared saying some items may be missing
I re-saved the game onto a new slot, exited the game, went back into Wrye Bash and re-clicked all the "Mods", re-launched the game and opened up the re-save.
Everything worked and no items were actually missing in the new save.
Hope that helps!

Game Crash upon Loading save games.
I been encountering the same exact issue with my morroblivion as the previous post. I create a character save and am able to load. However after about 2 hours of play when I save and attempt to load later it crashes, giving me an "Oblivion has stoped working" error. I first assumed it was just a corrupt save game since they do happen to oblivion once in a while. However, after attempting to create 4 characters I and still geting the same crashes I am sure it is not by chance. I check the load order just to be safe and it apears as the following.
Oblivion.esm, Morrowind_ob.esm, followed by all the other morrowind_ob...... .esp files, then finally DLCShiveringIsles.esp.
I have done a fresh install twice now and am still geting the same crashes. I also follow the full install instructions as provided by this website to the T. I have no other mods installed on either morrowind or oblivion.
Any help would be much apreciated, thank you and by the way I love the mod! I just want to get it working is all.
