Skywind Crashes after entering Console command!?

Hello!

My friend told me about this skywind thing and it sounds pretty freaking awesome!

However, after installing the necessary files and launching Skyrim with only the one "mod" ticked.. and after entering the command "cow AND_wrldmorrowind -5 -5" the game goes to the loading screen and then crashes!

I don't know why, or what to do so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,If you have installed all

Hi,If you have installed all of the necassary files and followed the install instructions then it should work, but SkyWind.esm uses morrowind_sk.esm,so make sure that it is just above SkyWind.esm in the DataFiles section but only tick SkyWind.esm.

I have just downloaded and reinstalled the master to test it and it runs ok for me.

When you do get in make a save then use that save in future.

I hope it works for you,as it does not crash out for me,but have you had your Skyrim.esm updated by steam as there was an update recently.?If not then go online and let it update.

Hope this works.

I believe that I installed

I believe that I installed all the necessary files, unless there was more to it than just choosing the place to put all the master files.

I have both options of skywind.esm and the morrowind_sk.esm, but only have the skywind ticked on

Still, when I launch and type in the command the game goes into the loading screen and then i am just brought back to my desktop screen

It doesn't necessarily crash persay, as in I don't recieve any crash reports of any kind.. I am just brought back to my desktop screen and the program of skyrim is no longer open

Ummm! this a difficult one

Ummm! this is a difficult one because I don`t crash out at the menu screen using the same files etc.

Look in your Skyrim root or Data folder for a file named DataFiles.txt or something like that and if it`s there delete the lines that contain SkyWind.esm and/or Morrowind_sk.esm,if they are there then save the txt file.

But before doing that go online and just play Skyrim for a few minutes, the put Steam into offline mode and try running our mod again.

Also sometimes Steam Cloud syncing can mess with some mods, that can be deactivated in Steam somewhere.

Can`t think of anything else,so I hope you get it sorted.

One more thing,if you use Win7 try running Skyrim in admin mode.

DataFiles.txt [or simular] is

DataFiles.txt [or simular] is not part of this mod,is produced by skyrim when you change load order in the Data Files choice in the Launcher Menu of Skyrim.

I will check it out out and report back, but it must be something you are doing wrong, because otherwise we would all be having the same problem.?

Maybe your friend might be able to help you,if he/she has it running.?

I gave you the name and

I gave you the name and location of the wrong file..sorry.

The file you need to check is:

C:\Users\-yourname-\AppData\Local\Skyrim

Find a file named plugins.txt

Make sure that Skyrim.esm is first followed by Update.esm then SkyWind.esm and possibly last Morrowind_sk.esm

If the last 2 are not listed, type them in by using the same layout as the lines above.

Then save the file and try running our mod with only skywind.esm ticked.

Untick all other mods in the launcher while running skywind,it proberly does not matter but better to just run it alone I guess.

If that does not work,I am out of ideas.

Bah... I edited the

Bah... I edited the plugins.txt file and it still crashed =/

Also, the file would re-edit itself every time to only have "SkWind.esm"

I have other mods for the game that just aren't being used, would that affect anything?  I might try uninstalling them..

If it comes down to it I might just try and reinstall skyrim and try the whole process over again!

haha, thanks for all the help though :D
