New Skyblivion video up

Submitted by Suade on

Hey guys, just wanted to share with you a video I made showcasing the latest work on the mod so far, with a few tweaks I have made on them! Warning: it's 22 minutes long, only because I walk around every city!

You'll notice a huge amount of progress has been made from my first Skyblivion video to the mega udate video I just uploaded.

Cheers and enjoy!

Any plans on a Morroskyrim video? That would be spectacular!

Neat, I never knew Skyblivion was that far in advancement. Does converting over Oblivion mods work? Must be lucky that the converter actually converts over Oblivion better than Morroblivion.

I also learned why Oblivion_sk takes so long to open up with Skyrim, while taking around 20 seconds alone. Well, there are so many array errors that the CK log can't even fit them, you know that huge pause at 60 or 70% that's the array errors being generated.

I am downloading Mehh's Skywind Overhaul as we speak then I'll make another video asap :)

@Mehh Is that the converter's fault? We'll have to clean it up, does one do that in TES5Edit? And I really know nothing about other Oblivion mods. I'm not using any other mods except for the ones I downloaded on the site made for Skyblivion. That would be awesome if it could though.

Yes and no, most mod problems I have had stem from not having much experiance with the converter. Mostly using Oblivon_sk to sprice up skyrim a bit with oblivion assets (an alyid ruin here a dungeon there). I am just toying with the mods though, untill others flesh out skyblivion to where it is complete. They do convert over though, how much of them can be used to easily add famous oblivion mods to skyrim depends on the amount of effort any remaining skyblivon modders want to use to flesh out skyblivion post-completion.

Well it's not really my overhaul, it's more of the Skywind team's overhaul. =p The array errors do stem from the converter. You can ask Eloth about removing array errors.

Also you can read this post on removing the purple ground textures. I'm not sure if it's the same for Oblivion.

Also this program can help you make an LOD and a world map.

Right, I'll take a look :)

Also Mehh if you can help that would be great. Check your thread and Eloth's new thread. I have a question and a problem now.

Great video, thank you. This stuff really helps to attract new people who will help with the project development :)

Mehh, about the array errors,I think that loading skyrim.esm or using it as a dependent master causes a lot of them, because even in skywind,if we just load morrowind_sk.esm it gives some errors but not array errors, but if we load skywind.esm [which uses skyrim.esm] the array errors are back.

I quess it is the same with skyoblivion,so hopefully as more objects get added [and used] those errors will hopefully just go away.

Most of the errors are due to unfinished objects or NPC`s needing lots of animation/pathing/ magic effects etc adding, but I guess at alpha stage we have a way to go before we have a perfect mod,but imo the progress on both mods is great!.
