I'm a fan of Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. I just tried out Morroblivion yesterday, after waiting and watching until it reached the point where I felt I could handle the installation. I'm impressed and very happy with what I've seen so far!
I think I might be unusual among fans in that I really do love all three games equally. I do believe that Morrowind was lacking in graphics, but beautiful in its own right. I love the gameplay of Morrowind and Skyrim for its 'sharpness', so to speak... its lack of tameness. Oblivion is so beautiful that I load it up to wander in the Imperial Reserve in late February, when my outside world is grey and slushy.
I'm not very skilled in the area of modding and never went further than a little elementary scripting in Morrowind and making my own player house. (I created a "Hobbit Amulet" that, when first put on, transported the player home - I did this so that I could load up on junk at the mouth of a dungeon and drop it just inside my front door.) I also recolored textures and did some very minor alterations to them.
I am good at noticing small details, though. I'm willing to offer what I've noticed for people who know what they're doing to fix, and I might be able to help with what little I know how to do. For instance, I could probably alter NPC faces, or set ownership on objects.
I would not want to make Morrowind more like Oblivion. I want it to be itself in all its beauty... but with a better graphics engine. It looks like this is exactly what you guys are doing.
Oh, as for who I am... I'm a New Englander married mother of three. Before I left my previous workplace to homeschool my kids, I was a software engineer and occasional community college adjunct professor (in computers, of course).

Hi there!
If you are interested in helping, we always need people to help fix bugs, or at the very least, write new bug reports / confirm existing bugs.
The easiest way to do this is keep a notepad on your desk (either a real one or an ipad or whatever) and write down problems when you see them while you're playing. Then later, you can report the bugs in the bug tracker.
There are also longer-term, larger projects, such as adding AI schedules to NPCs. This has been mostly done in Seyda Neen, Balmora, Maar Gan, and Caldera. But there is still a lot to do.
