Looking through the wonderful work you guys are doing here, I thought it would be amazing to have some of these assets used in a Skyrim mod, so that the fine people of the internet can enjoy some Morrowind-esque nostalgia with the constant crash of Vvardenfell looming over them. I've had a dream of a Morrowind embassy in Skyrim, and the amazing assets that you guys have made would make a great basis for me to begin work on this! It would also generate more hype on mod sites for the amazing Skywind project, giving you the opportunity to possibly get help from the amazing modelers/texturers of sites like The Nexus! If you would give me the go-ahead, I would gladly do this, and give full credit to the amazing Skywind team!

you cant use any of these assets for anything yet. have to wait until we have replacements for everything. It`s illegal to use morrowind assets in skyrim.
Unfortunately, at the moment most of our meshes are still Bethesda ones, so you wouldn't be able to use those. However, we are working on getting a large number of fan made models into Skywind from projects such as the Sheogorad Forsaken Isles mod from Oblivion. And you would be free to use those, assuming you gave the original authors permission. At the moment I think the only models you would definitely be able to use are a lot of the clutter models.
Sorry, I can't give you a timetable on when we'll have those new models though. It all depends on a lot of factors, such as when we can get the converter working perfectly, and how much adjusting we'll need to do on the meshes to make sure they will work seamlessly ingame.
A shame really:/ but I'll look forward to the mesh replacements I suppose!
~and not to be obnoxiously persistent, but what if it were to require skywind, and the download itself contain no assets?
We can't stop you if you don't include the assets. But on the same token note please don't redirect people to the website for the downloads, because we want to get them sorted first before making any ripples as such.
You could try out the people at darkcreations.org who are doing Tamriel provinces in the 4th era. You could join a team there or pitch an idea of an Embassy in Skyrim as part of a storyline.
Of course you are more than welcome to help out here, plenty to do :)
I would gladly help here! But note my main area of expertise is in using the construction set, moving misplaced things, or decorating bland areas would be ideal!
You've got yourself a job then, if you want it. Plenty of world editing to be done and CK people is what we need. We have an online chat and probably the best thing to do is to listen in and ask what you can help with. I'll get a moderator to add you to the chat.
Thanks! I did notice a few problems, such as entrances being covered by rocks and such.

Hm, I thought I got all of those. Which cave is covered by rocks?
That should have been fixed in v0.5 :)
I can't remember exactly which cave it was, and it may have been possible I was using an older or incomplete version!
Well, we only released it yesterday. I wouldn't be surprised if you were using an older version. Still, I bet we have a lot of other stuff that needs doing.
Yep, that was it, I was using the December 22 version:P
An idea; From what I've seen, most of the characters in Vvardenfell are either using a generic race, preset, or voice. I could go back and fix this if no one's working on that, and keep them as close as they were to their Morrowind counterparts, while still making them distinguishable from the few each other, as Morrowind's preset only character gave an uncomfortable feeling of uniformity in the game. Just a thought.
Sounds good to me. Make sure you look up all the forums to do with Skywind NPCs and maybe ask user "Machine" if there is a plan of action for this. I saw in the thread "[WIP] Skywind NPC Hub" http://morroblivion.com/forums/skyrim/skywind-mod-releases/3379, that there is a need for co-ordination.
Also there maybe some work already been done around this as clearly in the thread "Converting Skyrim NPCS" http://morroblivion.com/forums/conversion-to-skyrim/conversi... people have been doing something. None of this has translated into our current master, so just start asking some questions and hopefully you'll get some answers.
