Many Problems :(

Submitted by anderzwa on

Hey first of all morroblivion has been a great experiance for the most part and thanks for it all there are only a few problems I have experienced with it so far.... but unfortunately it is now pretty much unplayable :( first of all I wan't able to load several game saves I have a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_YuTjQWrpo

Now this error persisted for a little while and I tried several solutions found in other similar posts. Now I have a save file which works and have few problems in that area but in doing so other mods don't seem to be working most obviously ely's silent voice which has been working fine until now. I've tried reinstalling and other things but it will not have it. I'm wandering if it may be my load order. Thanks and I'm sorry that my first post is so negative thanks a lot for reading

Update:

Link now works sorry about that.

I can't watch the video, it says it's restricted.

If Ely's silent voice doesn't work make sure it's installed correctly and you're running the game via obse_loader.exe

The video,is private,so permission is needed,if you want it viewed by the public it should be put into the public files section.

Elly`s Silent Voice needs to be installed into the OBSE dir under "plugins",if you don`t have a OBSE dir it can be created, but obse is needed to run it.

I'm pretty sure I installed it properly as it worked before I started getting these problems. Now most mods aren't working.

Sounds like a load order problem, could you cut and paste a list of your current load order to this thread.?

Then if there are any obvious load order reasons they will be seen.

The vid shows you running it from steam,no problem with that, but have you tried running it "offline" in steam.?

I know that Oblivion can be purchased from steam and/or run from steam, but it might be a steam related problem,?,as I never have saved game problems using just OBMM.OBSE etc and running it as a disk installed game.

It is running on offline mode in the video that was what was reccomended in another thread but it didn't seem to make any difference so I don't think it's that as for it being a steam problem I don't know unfortunately I can't run it on disc as I don't have a disc drive XD

Ok,a few suggestions [hope it works].

Put the knights.esp just after the shivering isles and move all of the other DLC mods up under knights.

Move all of the morrowind_ob mods down under all other normal oblivion mods, and put the bashed patch last or near last.

But always least the first 2 as oblivion.esm then morrowind_ob.esm.

There is also the fact that any earlier saved games that might not have use the obse at the time of saving might not load when the game is started with obse, and also the other way around.

But ely`s silent voice and the Unofficial Oblivion patch need to be run from the OBSE loader.

There are so many reasons why your saved games and/or mods might not now be working to be sure of the fix,but the above is the best i can think of.

I've done every thing you said and unfourtunatly it hsn't done anything :(

I can't launch using OBSE because it's a steam game. Before the game got corrupt all the mods seemed to work fine.

Are you saying that Ely`s silent voice worked without running from the obse loader.?

If you can`t launch the game with the obse loader then that means that all mods that depend on the obse will not load or run properly.

If you can`t use the obse loader and are only able to run oblivion from the launcher, then lots of mods that use the obse [Ely`s silent voice is one of them] and the unofficial oblivion patch needs it too, will give problems.

I do not launch oblivion from steam, but if running from steam means that you can`t use the obse then the mods that you can use will be limited to mods that do not use any extra scripting [a lot of mods depend on the obse being installed and used].

But for a test, untick all of the morroblivion mods and morrowwind_ob.esm and any mod that you installed after your game ran without problems,if it then runs your remaining mods the problems you are getting must be down to the fact that you can`t use the obse loader.

If you're using the obse loader exe under Steam that's the problem.

Steam will automatically run obse if you put obse_steam_loader.dll in your Oblivion folder (steam/steamapps/common/oblivion) and set steam to be enabled in game.

You only use the obse loader for non steam installs.

Other than that, moving the morroblivion mods to the bottom of your load order (except the esm of course, leave it right after oblivion.esm) and the bashed patch (not using one myself) after that does seem the best thing to do without further info.

Obse does create a sort of secondary savegame (savename.obse) and not having it for an obse dependent mod would cause problems, so trying to start the game with morroblivion install from a savegame made without obse could also be an issue. I'd investigate how it performs in a new game.

I will try starting a new game see if that helps

look in OBMM directory you will find Loadorder.txtyou will have to open it clean all Rubbish out then save under another name you will have a clean .txt with full names to upload same as you did picture

you can use Obse to Launch Oblivion Get the Steam Version that was put out

Any Chance of uploading a Save file Before you left Morrowind
