The Nerevarine in Skyrim (WIP Companion Mod)

Submitted by Didact1 on

Hi all. Just thought I'd share with you a mod I'm working on. While I await for my internet to be restored so I can download Skywind (Going insane not having my fast internet!), I've been working on a Morrowind inspired mod.

The Nerevarine as we all know dissapeared just before the Oblivion Crisis. Rumored to have journeyed off to Akavir. Well? Now He makes a return. I was sort of inspired by the Dragonborn meeting the previous Elder Scrolls Character. For two playable characters to meet in the same game was a first. Well? What if I made it so there were three?

This mod doesn't add an NPC. A follower. No. Like my other follower mods (which you'll find on the Nexus), the Nerevarine will have his own custom voiced dialogue and unique dialogue with an aim to add hundreds and more references to Morrowind 200 years back. This will also eventually include idle chatter/comments and dialogue on Skyrim and Quests. Other features includes a Recall Spell to call him back should the player lose him.

I'm aiming for a Saturday/Sunday; or perhaps earlier for a release. Depending when I can upload it as I'm using my friend's internet (not my mobile's internet)

I understand that the Nerevarine could have been any race or gender. I've added a few references regards to it. Oh and CHIM will be involved too.. I'm not going to break lore.

Sounds pretty awesome.  I've often wondered what happened to not only the Nerevarine, but also Vivec.  Maybe you could allude to that too.

I believe someone else was working on a mod specifically related to Vivec, I'm certain mine would conflict in lore though as the Moon-and-Star is featured in his mod, look up WIP Vivec or something in the Skywind Forums for his mod.

In case anyone else is wondering. I'm voicing the Nerevarine. I think this is more of my own personal take on the Nerevarine. As I said. The possibility of the Nerevarine being many races and genders will be accounted for. But Neloth DID SAY that the Nerevarine is referred to a "he" in the Dragonborn DLC (not a spolier as you can ask him anytime... unrelated to the MQ)

Might be funny to reference some old morrowind mods!

Post note: if customization is problem why not provide a way to edit the charecter.  It does not really bug me as previous game I always assume the player charecters cannon race is the place where he is set.  Morrowind dark elf, cyrodel imperial.  I am play as a dark elf in morrowind right now anyways.  I would avoid giving the charecter a achual name though. Or just have the question "whats your real name?". Then the character has avoids the question, he points out that he does not want to talk about it,  or does not remeber after his rip to akavir.

I understand that some of you may bring the Nerevarine (my version/this mod) into Skywind's Morrowind/Vvardenfell. Might add some dialogue referring to the Dragonborn being able to experience his adventures through an Elder Scrolls or whatever is being used to bring the player over to Morrowind. Hell I might even make a transportation mod.

this might be a stupid idea but what if to go to morrowind as an option you can ask him somthing like ''can you tell me about your legacy" and you are teleported to morrowind , it sound  cheesy I sepose but it could be a good idea , just like the one about reading an elder scroll
