Hi all, hope this isn't in too much of a terrible place as this is my first post here! Found Morroblivion a few weeks back and been itching to try it out and finally yesterday got all of the files in place to give it a go! It looks like a really nice addition to Oblivion and it's obvious that a lot of work has gone into it but the installation process is a confusing mess... If it weren't for the guides on this site I never would've made it but even they leave a lot to be desired and they assume quite a high level of modding knowledge on the players part. I'd highly recommend taking the time to bundle EVERYTHING into one place when someone has the time (I had to follow links to many different websites all with multiple downloads that COULD be the one I was sent looking for)
While I'm on it, I've been unable to do anything with the Graphics extender, like at all! It's one of the links I mentioned above which leads to one of two different pages each of which lists literally dozens of possible download choices. I managed to get the game running without it but it looks rubbish (as does Oblivion!) what with it being so dated. If someone could advise me on how to squeeze the best visuals out of this game I'd be very grateful. Struggling to find a good facemod for oblivion too if anyone has one of those!!!
Anyway though, on to the actual reason I joined up!!! I've owned and completed every elder scrolls game there is (though some of the earlier ones don't really have ends per se!) except Oblivion... The lack of a minimap, awful inventory system and stupid lockpicking are just a few of the things that stopped me wanting to invest in the game in the same way I did Morrowind so I waited for mods to address what irked me. One by one these things have been addressed but each time I think about sitting down to play through the whole game I have to start from scratch with a fresh install. Then things like OBMM, OBSE and an endless search for mods to improve graphics and faces before I'm actually happy to play the game.
Needless to say I never quite made it! One of the final hurdles I never managed to cross was building myself a nice stash mod like I did for morrowind. It was essentially a series of hidden doors throughout the world, all of which led to an interior full of empty shelves and tabletops which I could store my favourite loot on throughout the course of the game. It looked amazing as it filled up with full sets of every armour imaginable, a shelf each for ebony, glass and daedric weapons. An entire table dedicated to dwemer artefacts!
My Oblivion modding was never quite as successful though and of course it already has quick travel so the doors were unnecessary. My initial attempt was to create a third 'hub' off the Imperial City like the prison area but I struggled with the landscaping and it was just too intrusive. I've now got a good mod in place inside the very top of the white gold tower which has in it a door to each of the eight cities but I still haven't built up the stash as I can't find a way to do it that I like. I tried to use the esp converter to simply turn the interior from my Morrowind mod into usable oblivion data but it confused the hell out of me and even when it finally seemed to work it didn't!
I'm now busy repairing the damage that this attempt somehow did to my Morroblivion install and I won't be trying to do it again but can someone please try and help me here? I have 2 Morrowind esp files that I'd like to use in Oblivion if at all possible. One of them adds a small island to the northwest of Solstheim and the second is the stash itself.
For anyone who doesn't understand the sort of thing I'm talking about, here are some pics I uploaded a while back of the old IC attempt and my original island and stash > http://s1198.beta.photobucket.com/user/Tim_Munt/library/Morrowind%20Moddage

Converter puts everything in
Converter puts everything in resulting Morrowind_ob.esm, including full Morrowind + expansions + whatever mods you added in the ini file to convert.
It can't convert esp files individually.
To convert Morrowind mod, you'll need first to run the converter and then separate the mod content from resulting master using TES4Edit.
Depending on the size and scope of the mod, it can actually be easier to recreate it from scrath in Oblivion CS.
