What can i do to help?

Submitted by Bloodkraven on
hello all. Im a 8 year elderscrolls fan. Im not a modder yet... and i absolutly love Morrowind, and i love oblivions graffics and fighting system. I honestly would pay a monthly fee for Morrwind online, but for some reason Bethesda cant repond to its fan base and get its head out of their butts and do something. (this past comment is based on ignorance. So feel free to enlighten me.) I want Morroblivion, i think its the coolest idea in the entire world of video games. So im possing a few questions that ive been thinking about to try and move this process this project along. First: Who is Galadrielle, or whatever you call her, and how could we help her or even fund her for her/ his work? Second: What sort of unnoffical organizations are there for for those wishing to learn how to mod, so they might contribute? Third: Why doesnt bethesda want Morrowind and Oblivion online? Fourth: Why, why didnt Bethesda just upgrade morrowind onto the Oblivion System!!!?!?!?! Anyways, I mostly just want to know how i can help, or if help is even possible. Im hopeing that Galadrielle is a modding organization, and not just a single person. Oh well, please post your thoughts and info.

http://www.qwerty-games.com/ The mod is called OblivionReborn, it's oblivion online. As long as the two people have the same mods activated, you wont have any problems. The online system IS buggy though, so it might crash your save if you're not careful, so back up your character.

Thanks man that sounds really cool, could it possibly be possible to add Morroblivion mod onto this system allowing people to play online morroblivion?

Good questions. 1.) From his profile, Galadrielle's a 30-something French male (who for some reason adopted a traditionally female avatar/pen name, causing some confusion) with some obvious talent programming in C. I'm not sure if he has a paypal or would even accept donations, but you might arrange something over email (his email is at the bottom of the lisez-moi). 2.) Best place to learn is the TESCS wiki: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/ . We can use all the help we can get, in what ever way you think would help. (quest mods and meshes are particularly useful IMHO). 3.) Beth, to my understanding, really doesn't care. I'm not sure they have any objection to oblivion online, but they aren't really interested in doing it themselves. They don't object to the principle of a morrowind to oblivion converter, but for legal reasons, they cannot endorse a program that converts third party resources by hosting it on the official forums or any other websites they promote. 4.) *shrug* good question.

WEll, its not a great business venture (Morrowind has been played by most who want to play it by now), also, its a very complex procedure to go through, just looking through the construction set, OB for a start, runs a different engine, that includes interior and exterior cells, unlike most of Morrowind, again, this would take ages to do while Beth have new projects on their mind (Fallout, TES V etc...) that they want to work on, not an old game from years back

Hey about that, TES V, i was reading an article by one of the main designers of the bethesda team and he said that this would be the last TES game for a while. Are the planning a new TES?

Suprisingly, I'd be glad if Beth took a break before TES V. I'd feel like morroblivion was for nothing if we had drop everything we're doing and start making some oblivio-TES V whatamacallit converter.

Hey guys new user here. I have a good amount of experience with the morrowind and oblivion construction sets so if anyone could send me a message on what i could do that would be terrific! i did some mod work for warcraft 3 also and that went great. i am a huge fan of the elder scrolls and i would love to take part in completing this project, also my sincere thanks goes to all who have partaken in this undertaking. Adios!
