One of the modlers (Fingar) who briefly stopped in for the project was doing a Kwama, but without contacting us in recent times, will assume has lost interest in the project. There is a Guar in the monster mod that can be used.
depends on what u are comparing it whit monster mod v1 ore v12 models but i have to say its very good work wanting to see his creations in live action nowe so bad hopfully skywind v0.6 got a few morrowind mobs in them
to bad not many make creatures and those that make custom skeletons for there creatures is almost 0 to bad because creatures interest me the most
You are a certified rigging machine!! I've got the feeling that you are already looking at adding them to the game. I have to say they are going to be the scariest cliff racers to encounter before we tone down their AI abilities :-P Firebreathing, hitting you with their tails, and generally eating you alive!! Should be fun.
MUAHAHAH WIEGHT PAINTING FOR THE WIN, look minimal stretching, only at very bottom of wing, im going to fix the anomaly with the leg, the one where its sctretched WAY down there, THIS IS ON DRAGON SKELETON IN DRAGON POSE! SO YOU KNOW THE ANIMATIONS ARE GOING TO BE FLUENT ASWELL
In 2 weeks time you'll say the same with another model, and it'll better, you improve too quickly to save "thats the best i can do".
/Shroedinger effect.
Does it operate like a dragon in Skyrim? This version has legs- which i like. You know whwere it circles around and finally perches to attack or devour.
i hope it doesnt land and i think it doesnt it may have legs nowe but the old 1 didnt so landing would be wierdt for a clifracer also it would make hime super easy to kill cant wait till the next skywind update where hey is in ore any other morrowind creature at that
It cracks me up how religiously people try and stick with what the Morrowind format was! Cliff Racers didn't land in Morrowind because they ran out of time to do any kind of landing animation with attack. Granted i don't think we would bother trying to do anything other than an air attack, but seeing them perch up on the cliffs would be fantastic, and...more real.

Indeed, they have to land sometimes imo, it's far more realistic. Not every change is a negative one.
Oh, and no1, please try to type normal language, your posts are hurting my eyes.
retextured and reformed to dragon shape, I actually prefer it to the dragon shape.
Will have backlight + SSS done, jheres hoping AlexB works his magic and it works.
That looks freaken fantastic. I gotta say im almost scared to have an airborn enemy as large in numbers as the cliffracer again. lol Especially sense they'll have some competent AI compared to morrowind. No more trouble descending and will actually try to dodge.
Hey all I gotta say is that's the best damn Cliffracer I've ever seen! I enjoyed fighting dragons in Skyrim. It will be fun to fight something similiar in morrowind.
it really depends on the engine.
But generally in vray/mental ray, each pixel across a model accepts a light source, and then transfers its colour to a radius. Any part of that model's texture within the radius accepts that light and colour information and "glows".
Backlight SSS tends to create 3d radial information, subdermal SSS tends to spread that radius across the normals of a model.

Here is a full list of creatures with possible substitutes and who is working on what: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Alvwmz6hbHGPdHh...
Though I have to admit, those monster mod creatures pale in comparison to Ravanna's creations. :)

Yes you can :)

if u knowe howe to do it can it have
a attack that fits a clifracer because it would be silly if it lands and walk slowly like a dragon to you before it can attack
lol i replaced alduin with him and is was hilarious, he came down and blew up everything.
I like his name "cliffy" :)
Alexanderb, could you possibly take a video of that? It'd be fantastic to share with social media.
lol i wanne see it to reminds me when i saw that video where the replace alduin whit my littel pony and it would be nice to see clifracer in action
Question: do you load an animation into 3dsmax whilst you're rigging? so u can see how the limbs move and crush when arms/wings move etc
you could but no, not neccesarrily
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAVqkHUo51w&feature=youtu.be
lol dont laugh its just my first try
nixhound on dog skeleton.
That video made me crack up. Morrowind PTSD, N'wah Alduin.... enjoyed the comments too. Keep at it!
Reminded me a bit of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bifmj1O3D24
Anyway, Alex and Ravanna are re-working the Cliff Racer according to their chat comments.

http://youtu.be/IOhjx8ZGTxo
This is the animation i am editing for the cliff racer Ravanna made
pretty cool so far, 1 down 1000 more animations to go.
For the first time I'm actually happy to see a Cliffracer. lol Awesome model here I'm very pleased- thank you!
That tail strike looks awesome!
you maniac! you're reanimating them? also, can you change the bone lengths through the animation?
brb buying you a maniac badge of pure gold
Epic _O_
as long the dont land till the are daeth and breath fire on me i wil axsept them as clifracer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYG0YWdkSKI
ad hime to skywind
Well I can set up creature so that it is unable to land. Is that better?
i can adjust!

finished!
that is right there, the best possible rig i could have done.

i agree whit that perching on cliffs ore maby a nest but when in attack mode i mean the shouldn't land
Why are you guys posting Guars in a thread about Cliff Racer development? You do know we have a Skywind creature thread right?
and to ceep the clifracer topic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U31i-uBVus4
