Installation Troubles

I am having trouble with the .6 installation. I followed the instructions on the project release thread. I have all of necessary DLC and Morrowind GOTY. I also made sure the Skywind.esm was enabled in the launcher. I have no mods installed. When I start the game it loads up as Skyrim does and when I click new game it starts a new game of skyrim. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?

Not sure.

I'm not sure if your actually meant to start on the ship yet or anything but the way to get there is cow wlrdmorrowind -x -y (change the x and y to what ever you want to go to)

0.5 has no new start game

0.5 has no new start game option and you have to cow as mention to travel to Vvardenfell.

cow wrldMorrowind -5,-5   takes you to Balmora

0.6 will have an extra esp to allow to start a brand new game (including chargen) in morrowind.

Sorry to be a nOOb, but can you explain this cow thing please :)

Also my other problem is that I have no Skywind.esm in my load screeen/mod manager.

When I installed Skyrim it installed to the Steam folder.

Anyway to install in a non-Steam folder?

You mean the .esm? Ok, but

You mean the .esm?

Ok, but the instructions say the main folder of Skyrim not the Data folder.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Sharezjek,Everything! goes

Sharezjek,

Everything! goes in your Data folder,so the best thing to do is,download to your desktop, unzip the archives then copy the Data folder that is in the unzipped archive to your Skyrim folder letting it overwrite.

If there is only an ESM and/or a bsa file in the master download, then that also goes into your Data folder.

Thanks ironman, all good

Thanks ironman, all good now.

Edit - One more question. When I run Skywind I have no textures. Is it supposed to be like that?

When I installed Morroblivion I was able to do it in a diectory of my own choosing but with Skyrim I was forced to put it in a Steam folder.

The only mods I've ever seen

The only mods I've ever seen that had you put things out of the data folder, were bad mods that bloat your game. The ones that add those text files that add items to your inventory when they're too lazy to make a script.

If others are having the same

If others are having the same problem as bighubebird in the original post on this thread please download and install the file [esp] into your Data folder, tick it and start a new game.

You should then be asked if you wish to start a new game in Skyrim or Morrowind [Skywind].
