So, I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned a lot before. I was thinking, should we use the normal browny-yellow Morrowind background on the main menu or should we use the silver crest and moon? Personally I like the crest and moon but it's up to you guys :P

I think the Moon and Star in place of the Dragonborn/Empire Emblem would be nice.
Hmm, I think I actually prefer the crest and moon too! Besides I feel like we should keep the game's layout very close to Skyrim's so it wont be too alien. I prefer the original loading screens as well, just with updated morrowindy images and texts. :P
it was weird i got the .jpg image ready and then i converted it to .dds and now it's all stretched and low resolution... help?
hmmm, lets see. how did u save the dds? through photoshop or some other program? also whats the resolution? it can only be like 265, 512,1024,2048
also u have to leave a certain amount of blackness around the top and bottom.
you can do it through photoshop? :0 i can't find a .dds save as... so i just used a jpg to dds converter. it was called easy2convert jpg to dds
paste ur image over mine. make sure that the dimensions are the same tough or u will get stretching. see how mine has a space in the texture for the ummmm top nad bottom.
photoshop can save as .dds, DirectDrawSurface
i don' have the option unfortunately, how ever now that i got it to the right size i should be able to just use the converter
ok so there is no stretching now, but it's still low resolution... i saved at 1024 so i'll try 2048.
so that worked... unfortunately the moon and star is pretty small now in the middle of the screen. i can't find a high resolution one anywhere :|
needs some work but it looks fine for now i think

Imho, its good. More skyrimish=) We do some new life of Morrowind, but not copy.
You need the plugin for photoshop in order to be able to save as dds:

Yes, it still looks very cool.
I like the gold one more. Morrowind isn't a cold stony place like skyrim. Just my two cents though.
I prefer the metallic-looking screen, but still am not very fond of it.
The problem with the paper-looking ones is that they look like ancient and crappy-looking paper (and thus remind me of Morrowind textures in general).
Skywind should have a more modern tone, but grey on black with a single object isn't quite right. Perhaps there could be that brown Daedric rune from Morrowind in the background behind or around it?
