Ok so I went through all the usual stuff at the census office and grabbed fargoth's ring on the way out, and when I tried to give it to him he said that it wasn't his ring! WTF!?
I did have some mods, but I tried giving him the ring without anything other then what was needed (unofficial patch plus the morroblivion ESP files)
Nothing I've done works so far.
Yes I have the ring in my inventory, I got it from the barrel between the buildings while at the census office. He wont except it no matter what I do
EDIT : Even my father tried this on his computer and it still doesnt work :/
Try with only Oblivion.esm and Morrowind_ob.esm loaded
I did try that, and with a new character, and neither worked. I did the same with my fathers install and it didn't work either.
So we start from Scratch you Downloaded Morroblivion Complete Installation Extracted the 2.5 gig into your Oblivion\Data used What ever to Create Load Order Run Game..
Have in Order
Oblivion.esm
Morrowind_ob.esm
all other Files are here
Have you got Shivering Isles install
Have you got Unofficial Service Packs installed
Where do you have your Game Installed

My 13 year old Grand son pointed out He Plays on the third computer, installed it him self and Fargoth Accepted the ring from same as the other 2 computers,
Back to Pointed out that A WTF is a missing Mesh in your Game and A WTF! is just swearing which there is no Need for

Also, Im not getting mad at the developers of Morroblivion, Im just frustrated with the Game, really wanted to get back to the story line of Morrowind (Still have yet to finish the main game).
Though was just thinking about something earlier, I happen to have Morrowind Graphics Overhaul and some of its stuff and plug-ins that came with GSO are also installed in my morrowind data folder. Could it be possible that the Graphics Overhaul and its extras and fixes could have changed my morrowind install enough to mess the Morroblivion installer up?
Graphics over haul in Morrowind will not Effect Morroblivion ,you only need Morrowind GOTY install for the Master file to Read to Make shore all is Legal.
Throw of Every thing Except
Your Oblivion\Shivering Isles\Unofficial Patch\ and all files that came in Thermador Complete Installation V056 with Master V057 installed.
Load Transport,and Map Near Bottom Start a New Game try This out
If you start having Missing Meshes (WTF) or Purple you will have to Re_Extract Complete Installation and Cut,Paste Back into your Oblivion\Data in case any file got over written with other files you have installed
This quest was tested multiple times and confirmed to work.
