Freefalling

Submitted by SkyrimFan272 on

The game starts through Skyrim like it should but when it loads I see Juib and 2 other npcs floating in grey space and then I start falling until there is just grey space all around me.

I suspect you are missing this folder with files : Data\meshes\Terrain\WrldMorrowind

I'm having the same issue. When I checked to see if I had that which you say, I found it in the folder..Any ideas what is wrong?

I have the same problem.  There's a load of files in Data\meshes\Terrain\WrldMorrowind, so that's probably not the issue.

Spec:

Win7-64, ATI 7950 with latest (beta) drivers, Skywind update 1 applied.

I had exactly the same problem with previous (non-beta) version of the ATI drivers.

Has anyone any ideas, please?  Looks like a great game, if only I could play it!

I lold hard at the video, but this isn't really a "bug" this is you not installing the mod properly.

I am also having the same issue, Loading Skyrim works perfectly, yet loading Morrowind causes me to freefall nonstop. I have downloaded and installed everything word for word, and did it again, yet this continues to happen.

Any help at all would be wonderful, Once again I have checked for those files, and I have them. Thanks!

Okay, go to your Skyrim/data/mesh folder and search for *prisonship.nif(yes with the star), when you find it, right click it, and tell me the location of it.

D:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Skywind_v0.6.03_RC1_Complete_25thMay13\Data\meshes

Well there goes your problem and everyone else's, that file is supposed to be in Data\meshes\Morrowind\architecture\ships\interior

Take the data folder out of the Skywind_v0.6.03_RC1_Complete_25thMay13 folder and merge it with your Skyrim data folder.

Not a bug, just bad installs.
