Issue with Ulyne Henim and some other minor problems.

Submitted by LoneWolfEburg on

So, my main issue is following. In the Fighter's Guild quest, the one where you required to clear the Vas ruins, I've arrived there (traveling on foot all the way from Balmora) only to find Ulyne Henim, whom I'm supposed to help clearing them out, dead. Two Blighted Cliff Racers were in her vicinity, I dunno whether they were the reason.

Also, a minor issue: how were the armor protection ratings calculated during the conversion? Even Iron cuirass is better then a Bonemold or a Chitin one, making the latter two useless... Or is there something I missing?

0.58, Complete Installation. Fine job otherwise, though runs on my 8-year-old computer only with graphics at the lowest level. Strangely enough, it runs base Oblivion decently at fairly average-high settings.

Most likely. You can revert to previous save or go tell the quest giver that she's dead.

They were corrected by hand, I think. Iron Cuirass has AR of 10, while Chitin and Bonemold - 8 and 8.75 respectively, but they are light armor and iron is heavy, so I don't see how they're useless. Bonemold, for one, is as good as Mithril in Oblivion.

That is expected. Morroblivion has higher system requirements than just base Oblivion.

Thanks for the answer! I just console-resurrected her, since apparently I need to speak to her in order for the quest to progress.

Strange, the Iron Cuirass has the value of 5 in my game. Is it a bug on my side or are the in-game values displayed differently?

Also, is one fight with a Bonewalker supposed to drain my 39 strength to a permanent 0? Having a 0 strength is... um, mildly inconvenient.

Yep, ingame values are shown according to your skill.

Sort of. They have spells damaging the strength, same as in Morrowind. You can restore it using potions or altars.

Thanks again. I think something probably does need to be fixed with that dying-from-cliffracers Dunmer lass still... The quest marker changes after you talk to her, and she provides information that you're supposed to destroy the necromancer. So she's kind of important, although I confess I don't know whether the quest will proceed as normal if the player destroys the necromancer himself.

Well, the bonewalkers have a curse that lasts for seconds, destroying your strength. It permanently reduced my strength from 39 to 0, which means that I'm overencumbered even if I take everything off and drop everything. Was it also like that in Morrowind? If this rather brutal effect is intended, guess I'll just set the difficulty level to 0 and hope to destroy it quickly, ad avoid them in the future 'till I'm strong enough.
